As a Christmas gift, I received all of the currently-published books as well as Mordenkainen's. Is there a way I can enter the serial numbers or something on the website so I don't have to pay $360 again to unlock the content I already own? I don't think it's right to have to pay twice for the same content.
You might also think about how you want to use DDB, and what you might need to use it that way. Depending on what you want to do, and how you want to do it, the price tag could be considerably less than $360. My signature contains a link to a buyer's guide that lists a number of scenarios at different pricepoints to help potential users think about what might work best for them. (Homebrewing everything or some things, as Filcat mentioned above, i one among many options/strategies)

No, it is not possible to redeem content on DDB with a hardcover purchase. You can find all the information on this thread.
I must point out that you can homebrew all the official content for private use on DDB.
