I purchased Tasha's Cauldron of Everything Compendium content today. I cannot access the Artificer class, however. That's why I purchased it: to gain the artificer class option. Please tell me what I need to do in order to get the Artificer class.
The compendium content is just the book text; it doesn't give you the character builder parts. It even says in the store page:
The Compendium Content bundle does not grant access to all the content's options in the rest of the toolset, such as the searchable listings, character builder, or digital sheet.
You need to buy at least one artificer subclass, or the full version of the book. (Which is cheaper now, because you already have the compendium.)

I bought the compendium, how do the artificer subclasses not come with it?
The Compendium is a read-only document. The get the interactive options you have to purchase the “full version” of a book.
