I've tried uploading my profile picture from several different locations just to make sure it wasn't an issue with my Laptop or Phone (PC, Phone, Browser, and Cloud). It's a jpeg file. I also tried resizing it just in case that were the issue as well. Nothing seems to work. Is this a known issue? I tried searching the forums before posting this but found nothing. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
You must have originally taken the photo with your device in an orientation that the device you took it on recognizes as right side up, but that is technically sideyways. Try rotating the image and resaving it and then reupload it.
Thank you for the reply, I forgot to mention that I did attempt to reorient the photo and upload it again, that didn't work. I took the photo upright but I can see where that would make sense. I have tried a few other photos now and some are turned and some aren't. I can't seem to find the correlation. I was in the IT industry for 26 years and this one has me stumped lol.
It’s because some things reorient how it’s displayed, which gets dropped in the upload. Whereas other programs actually reorient the thing itself and that setting gets attached to the image. I don’t really understand it entirely myself, but I’ve noticed that it depends on what I use to rotate the image whether or not it sticks. Like, for example, photos I took on my old blackberry back in the day and reoriented on that device come out sideways on websites like you’re describing, but ones I’ve done on my more current iPhones work properly. 🤷♂️
Ah! Makes sense. I hadn't considered package data. I'm retired now and find that I forget more than I remember now days lol. Thank you again very much!!

Found a fix! I opened the photo in MS Paint, renamed it, then saved. That seems to have worked.
Yay!! See, like I said, depends on which program you use. I’m glad it worked!
