The only way it could have been deleted is if you had actively deleted it, which requires not only hitting a button, but actively confirming it by typing “delete” into the popup. If you truly believe it was deleted you can contact support using the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the page.👇They might be able to help restore your character. Be patient though, it’ll probably take them at least a week to get back to you. Whatever you do, do NOT submit multiple tickets about this though, as each subsequent ticket will pull you out of your place in line and move you to the bottom of the pile again.
However, if you don’t remember actively deleting the character, then it is far more likely that one of two other possibilities happened:
You inadvertently logged in using an accidentally created alt account. That happens all the time. If you usually log in using one method (Twitch, Google, Apple, Wizards), and that’s the account with your character, and then you log in using a different method it’ll automatically create an alt account for you. You can try logging out and then logging back in using the various login methods to see if you can find your character attached to one of those methods.
You may have inadvertently left the character “unassigned” in a campaign with other players and one of them might have “claimed” the character. It might have been totally accidental on their part. In which case they will need to “unassign” that character in that campaign and then you will have to rejoin the campaign and claim the character back.
