the revamped Desktop view is great but now the mobile leaves a bit to be desired.
How can I get my iPad Pro to view the desktop site? I have plenty of screen real estate and would like to use it vs being limited to one view at a time. Can’t find an option anywhere and even requesting the desktop site in safari doesn’t load it.
On iPad there's an app called Desktop Browser that works for this. You have to use it in browse plus mode to be able to log in and view in desktop mode, which means you'll end up having to pay for it (you only get 10 free sessions).
You have to zoom in a lot to size it correctly as the DDB site seems to have a lot of space on the sides of the main window. This automatically resizes on desktop but not on this app so the content appears very small in the middle of the screen and has to be blown up (two finger zoom gesture), but you can zoom right in and enlarge it . I tried this on the 10.5" iPad pro.
The side pane appears at the very edge of the screen initially so that there is a lot of space between it and the main content, but once you toggle full screen it seems to reposition properly. Note that it doesn't overlay, only fixed view (or hidden). I was able to interact with the few elements I tried and scroll in the side pane, so it does seem to work properly. I'll probably end up paying the couple of dollars for it but don't know if it's better than the mobile sight on iPad until I try it more.
Badeye/Adam (Prohect lead) has said that they will be developing a new iPad/tablet view that will be more like the desktop view , in respond to feedback from many of us expressing frustration with the current post-revamp view. Not sure how long we will have to wait, but it is coming.

Sounds good. If you have a moment, would you mind pointing out which thread that’s in please?
I posted this yesterday, but just to help everyone visualize, Ive tried a screenshot of the Desktop View on my 10.5 Ipad and it seemed ok. Just wish "Request Desktop Site" worked.

I’d like to have the desktop view on my iPad too.

Thanks for that. Couldn’t get the side panel to behave properly unfortunately. The search continues...
That's unfortunate. Was tricky and inconsistent and you have to hold your nose right, but when it worked it was fine.
Maybe it will be a future update. I don’t like the new update on my IPad

Please pardon my terseness. I'm working on my iPad and it's being balky.
