This functionally did work on the 2014 version of the classes but not for 2024. BTW Fighter and Rogue still work so maybe it has to do with webcode involved for the "D&D Free Rules (2024)" vs. "Player’s Handbook (2024)" character separation

Adding my voice to the frustration over this. Doubly frustrated since the player using a homebrewed third-caster Monk is the player who was most excited to switch over to the new rules.
Agreed, disabling this option is incredibly restrictive. You have Dungeons of Drakkenheim as partnered content and are in discussion now with the Dungeon Dudes in order to add Sebastian Crowe's Guide to Drakkenheim eventually one day.
One of their subclasses, Way of the Arcane Hand, is a 1/3 caster. Until that book is released on D&D Beyond, players cannot create this subclass for this campaign.

I did ask Ghostfire about that content coming to Beyond the other day and they said that it's in WotC's hands.
I might be canceling my subscription because of this since I've been playing this monk with years now and made the switch to Arcane Hand due to an event that happened in the campagin's story.

I'm one of those frustrated Monk players as well.
Can confirm, doesn't work. Really doesn't make sense to limit how I can homebrew now if it was fine before.
Ah... another issue that will go ignored for years it seems. Grab your tents, folks.

Super lame, why take away homebrew options??
Is there a way to still do this with the 2014 monk?
I think it was mentioned in another thread but this has been fixed a few months and I can confirm it works
