Sorry if this question gets asked often but I've been trying to create a Fighter with the BM subclass and that option doesn't show up in the character builder. I bought the 2014 PHB digitally and the site says there's no issue with the purchase or my access to content but it still doesn't show up. Other PHB-exclusive content like different Warlock patrons does show up post-purchase but not Battle Master. Is there something I'm missing?
I tried toggling on the legacy option as well as all of the other content switches but nothing seems to be working. I can see a lot of other legacy content like spells and feats but Battle Master (or Eldritch Knight) still doesn't show up

If Battle Master isn't showing up (along with Eldritch Knight) I would assume you're trying to build under the 2024 Fighter. What you have to do is turn on the Legacy toggle, then when selecting your class, scroll down and select the Legacy version of the Fighter class. The 2024 Fighter class will only show what you own of the 2024 content (Battle Master, Champion, Eldritch Knight, Psi Warrior; Champion is the only subclass in the Free Rules) and any subclasses you've bought in earlier books that aren't those four. (Remember: Owning the old version of the subclasses doesn't count as owning the new version.)
2014 (Legacy) Fighter will show all the 2014 subclasses you've purchased.
What if you already have a character that you have built and you are just now subclassing? I purchased the newest manual but I can't access any of the subclasses other than champion.

check your entitlements (user menu->account->licenses)
if you bought in the app, it can take a while to show up

That's correct. If you don't own the Player's Handbook, you're limited to only the subclasses that are in the Free Rules, which is one subclass for each class. The Fighter subclass in the Free Rules is Champion.

Sounds like you're using the 2024 Fighter class. Since Battlemaster got updated, the old one doesn't show up.
You'll need to turn on the Legacy toggle in order to see the 2014 one.
