The magical items for the 2024 seem to be missing. It more or less stops easy play. Now that the book is released and we're trying to build the new characters it seems disingenuous to not have them.
I noticed this. I'm pretty sure it's a mater of there not being any until the DMG comes out. If you turn ON Legacy content in the Character Builder, you will see them.
But if you turn back ON legacy content during character building, it fundamentally restricts new character traits, abilities, origin feats, etc..
So this quite buggy. You’re damned if you turn legacy back on if you want true 2024 character builds, but then you’re restricted to bare bone items for inventory purposes.
Consequently, you’re damned if you want all your original legacy items. Because turning them back on means you lose 2024 character features!?

You don't lose anything from the 24 PHB by turning on legacy; it's strictly additive.
