Hi all, I’m building a fighter with the Battle Master subclass and purchased the players handbook to access the subclass. But it doesn’t show up in the character builder. I’ve tried logging off and then on again, checked the entitlements, tried updating the book, nothings helped. Suggestions?
In the class dropdown it is has sections. Core Rules is for 2024 versions and Legacy is for 2014 version. Use the Legacy version and your subclass will appear.

So I was wondering about this as well. It was my understanding that Legacy/2014 subclasses would still be compatible with the 2024 Class updates. Am I mistaken?
When I try to build a 2024 character with a 2014 subclass (e.g. 2024 Paladin, with Oath of Vengeance) I can't do that...I can only see the 2024 Core subclasses, and some Expanded Rules classes, not all the 2014 ones I own.
Do we need to homebrew the Legacy subclasses onto a 2024 Class?

If the subclass has a 2024 version, then 2024 classes can only use the 2024 version and 2014 classes can only use the 2014 version.
If the subclass was not updated to a 2024 version then both 2024 and 2014 classes can use it.
Oath of Vengeance was updated. 2024 Paladin can only use the 2024 Oath of Vengeance.
And you should also check you have Legacy content enabled.

Thats how they ended up implementing things on DDB.
The way the game is sposta work and the way things end up functioning on DDB are often not in sync. That shouldn’t be news to most folks. That why I have been known to comment that “sposta” can be very dangerous. 😉

Looked in the drop downs, no legacy content in the subclass section. Legacy content is showing up in other areas, but not subclass.

Got it, thanks all!

Oh I see. That's kind of annoying. I wish they would still let us just choose which version to use.
And yeah, Legacy content is enabled.
Thanks for clarifying
That’s what the rules for D&D say.
