Trying to create a druid to join our campaign still playing with the 5E 2014 players handbook. I own the book and the druid sub-classes are not working for the older players handbook. Please resolve ASAP.

Did you pick the 2014 druid class? There are two, and you need to scroll down in class selection to get the old one 

You chose the wrong druid. In Character Builder go to Class, click the X to remove the Druid class. Go to add a class. In the dropdown scroll-down to the "2014 Core Rules" section and add the Druid under that.

There's 2 versions of every class, 2014 version from 2014 PHB and 2024 version from 2024 PHB. When selecting classes you will see a "Core Rules" section which is for the 2024 versions and further down is a 2014 Core Rules section for the 2014 versions.
