Hi DDB community,

Is anyone aware if the notes section of a character has a word limit? I have embarked on my character keeping a diary, which is turning out seriously cool as it's like a recap of the game, in-game day by in-game day, but with the character's own twist and thoughts. However I am worried I will run into a word limit problem. Does anyone know if there is a limit and if so, what it is? I could move it to google docs or something, but it's nice also having it attached to my character in DDB.

So far I haven’t found a limit, and I have to be several thousand words in to some of them. 🤷‍♂️

With a little testing I can pretty much say with certainty that it's "unlimited". I took a 100k word story I've written and pasted it in plain-text (to remove formatting) and it did it just fine. So I pasted it in again 4 more times. Worked fine. So I copied everything in there and pasted it again - so 1M words (about 5-6M characters) - and it's still not being cut off or limited.

I will say though - it gets SUPER slow to type in with that much text. Like - it just took a whole minute to add a line-break at the end. If you ever get to that point - maybe just write it in a Ggldoc and paste it into the notes section.

Edit:
The character takes ages to load. We're talking minutes. I had to reload the page because it actually Beholder errored me out. It also takes a while to swap to the notes section and to pop out the side-bar to edit the notes.
So while it may be "unlimited" - it gets a bit temperamental if you go too far.
