One of my players created a joke spell called Justin's Hideous Laughter. It's showing up as a known spell for a new character and we can't get rid of it. It's not appearing in my list of home-brew spells nor the player who created its list. How can I get rid of this thing? Even turning off "Allow Homebrew" in the character editor doesn't remove it!
When you create a spell you have the option to choose who can use the spell. So you put in wizards if you want wizards to access it. However, if you put in a sub-class like "Bard - College of Lore" or something it considers the spell as a "free add" - instead of adding it to the class spell list it treats it a something the subclass automatically grants - it adds it to any character with that subclass as an always available/prepared/known spell.
Check to ensure the spell is only for "class" lists not a subclass.

Yes, but it's not IN their collection anymore. He can't find it. But it is showing up for the rest of us in our spells. I've written support and gotten no response. I think someone needs to go into the system for us and manually delete this thing because we can't.
You don't understand. He can't find it on his creations page. It's vanished for him, but it's stuck in our "known spells" list for all our magic using characters. So he can't delete it and we can't get rid of it!
Given that you say the player has removed it from their collection page and deleted it from their creation page, the best way to resolve this is for that player to raise a support ticket.
Help!

Actually, the spell is not showing up in any list now only in the character sheets
The person who created is should go to their COLLECTION and remove it from the collection.
It then won't be shared within the campaign.

Very weird! If he doesn't want it any more, he could delete it from his creations page:

Just trying to eliminate all possibilities. :)
