That may be due to the creature in the show that ended up being good due to its treatment from the kid in the show being kind.
The question I have is where are the pregen characters?
I mean, we don't have the LMoP pregens either. But hey, I made them all up (with very minor assumptions for missing information) anyway: Dustin, Lucas, Mike, Will & Eleven (even though she is also 'the Princess'). I also made my own interpretation of Max because she really should've been included.
Now if only you could copy them...

Apologies to any adventuring groups who were expecting an end of adventure battle and instead were invited in for cake and a cup of tea during this time.
