So my DM and I are making a homebrew item for monks that improve unarmed strikes. we are trying to add 1d4 lightning damage made with unarmed strikes but cant find a way to get to show up on the online character sheet. I'm trying to have it show up how the 2d6 fire damage while flaming does for the flame tongue weapons under the damage section. anyone know how to do that?
Unfortunately it is not currently possible to create the effect you're hoping to create for your Monk's unarmed strikes. The Flame Tongue works as it is a "weapon" type item.
One way you could attempt to do this would be to make a homebrew dagger that adds the desired effect, but naming, labeling or just remembering it in such a way that you and your player know that the item is representing their Unarmed strike instead of a dagger attack. Another option would be to add to the "Notes" on the unarmed strike for the Monk on their character sheet.

I hope that helps!
Any update on this?
They implemented a lot of options in the homebrew section, but I'm stll too stupid to give my unarmed strikes 2xd4 force damage.
I managed to set my base damage die with the set modifier.

You won’t be able to alter the standard Unarmed Strike to do 2d4 force damage, you’ll have to add a new Unarmed Strike to the Homebrew that does 2d4 force damage by adding it as a new Action.

Sorry, my description was unclear.
I mean, "add" 2d4 force damage to my unarmed damage.
We made a magic item in our campaign (wondrous item) that gives my unarmed strikes additional force damage to the normal damage of an unarmed strike.
(The item idea is Inspired by the shang-chi the legend of the ten rings)

Hello SwagMasterJonny!
Unfortunately it is not currently possible to create the effect you're hoping to create for your Monk's unarmed strikes. The Flame Tongue works as it is a "weapon" type item.

Sorry for the late reply! This helps a ton, thank you so much!

Can you help?
You would have to add a custom action to your character sheet to roll the 2d4 separately.
