Please ensure that the player has "Eberron Content" turned "On" in the preferences page of the builder.
If that doesn't help:
Ensure that the player has access to the Artificer class. The class can be found in the Eberron: Rising From the Last War and Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron (1 subclass only).
If they haven't purchased either of those sources or one of the Artificer subclasses, they may be able to gain access through Content Sharing if any member of your campaign has a Master Tier subscription, and any member of the campaign has access to that content.
If the player does not have access to this content, they will not be able to make an Artificer character.
I am also trying to make an Artificer character. Have everything turned on, including Eberron content... but when I get to the Class page there is no Artificer listed. Any help much appreciated.
I have had the same problem. I have a master tier subscription and all content turned on but the sub-classes from UA aren't showing up. I get only armourer and alchemist, I was hoping to gen with the artillerist UA content but it doesn't appear active
If you have access to the Armorer, you are seeing the UA content. The Armorer is a new Artificer subclass that is in UA right now. Old UA articles like the one you are thinking of get archived on this website, either when the final product is published or WotC announces that it has been abandoned. The Artificer was published in Eberron Rising, so the UA got archived.
If you would like to play an Artilerist, you have two options. You can download the old UA article for it from WotC, you can find it here. Then you can recreate it yourself using the homebrew generator. (Just whatever you do, don’t publish it!) The other option is to purchase just that subclass from Eberron Rising for $1.99 (US) from this website all ready to go.
If you have access to the Alchemist, did you purchase that subclass (and therefore also unlocked the Artificer class) from either that book, or the old pre-publication version, The Wayfarer’s Guide?
Hi, I thought I'd add to this thread with a problem I've come across.
I bought the Artificer class with the Artillerist Subclass, and I am able to select it which is good, however they have removed magic items from the "replicate magic items" infusion, giving a reduced list of magic items compared to the printed class in "Ebberon: Rising from the Last War".
All I want to do is have an "alchemy jug" or "sending stones" infusion, like the actual class is supposed to be able to have, without having to spend $30 USD on the DMG (which I already have in person, as well as most of the other books). I just find it appalling that I thought I was buying the full class, then I can't even use all the options listed in the printed book.
Does anyone have any idea how I could get acess to the rest of the intended magic items in the "replicate magic items" infusion without buying the full DMG and ERftLW books on D&D Beyond, or from having those books shared with me from a friend?
You can either purchase just the relevant portions of the various sourcebooks (eg: instead of purchasing the whole DMG for $30, you can buy just all the magic items as a pack for $13, or if you really only need the cap of water breathing and the alchemy jug, you can buy just those two for $2 each), or you can homebrew them. Considering that you have the print book, and that some of these things (like the alchemy jug) are really only a text description on D&D Beyond, I'd say that's your best bet.

If you homebrew them they will not show up as available infusions.
You could do that, but you cannot officially “learn that infusion” so you would also have to keep track of the blank infusions known as well as the infusion slots.
My wife is having this same problem. she was briefly able to access artificer to make her character but no subclasses populated the menu (well no artificer ones did anyway). she's also had it remove artificer and making her classless for a bit. She was booking off of a campaign sharing nearly ever relevant book and definitely including artficer.
So if I buy the 3 Subclass pack, but nothing else, will I be able to use Artificer in the Character Builder?
Yes. In fact, if you buy any one of the three subclasses it will work, you would just only have access to the subclass(es) you purchased, any UA subclasses (currently 1), and homebrew.

She would only have access as long as that character is in that campaign. If she started in the campaign, but then left it, she would have lost access to the subclasses when she left.
I cannot find the option to buy the artificer class...
In the marketplace, locate Eberron Rising from the last War. (Or, starting tomorrow, November 17, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything). Click on the image of the “book” scroll down on that page to the Subclasses section. Choose the artificier subclass you want. (In the Eberron book, all the subclasses listed there are artificer subclasses, although that is not clear on that page)
A player of mine is trying to make an artificer, but it’s not pulling up for some reason? Help?
Hello!

If the player does not have access to this content, they will not be able to make an Artificer character.
Hope that helps!
I also have a lvl 3 artificer and have purchased the 3 subclasses. When I go to select the subclass I want, the drop down is blank...
Hi there Bellonz, could you please provide a link to the character you're trying to choose an Artificer subclass with?
Hi there!

Thanks!
Have you purchased either Eberron: Rising From the Last War and Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron?
If not, have you purchased one of the Artificer subclasses from those books?
If not then you won’t have access to it unless you’re in a campaign with someone who has and Content Sharing has been enabled.

That's a bummer. I assume you can't just check off the infusion slot like you would a spell slot and add something to the notes field?

I bought Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and I'm working on making an artificer and when I go to choose my Infusions, the drop downs are all blank.
