i made a account on here at the request of my friends on discord since they were gonna play a DND game and i wanted to join. then i cleared my broswer history and tried to log in again and it acted as if i only made the account just then. now it won't let me log out to see what happened to the other one. i was able to log out if i went to the main page but when i click to log in again it only logs me back in as the profile i had before so i lost all the hard work i put into creating my character.
Go to the site in your browser, then clear the cookies in your browser. Logout of the site, then go to /login. You will now be able to log in to the site with the account you want.
Currently, the Twitch login implementation saves a cookie of your session to try to "assist" you with auto logging you in to the site when you come back. It is a "feature" we're working on with Twitch to change.
I can't because I am using a school-issued computer, and the have the website blocked.
In this case you can clean all the cookies on dndbeyond site. But be aware that to log in again there are requests to twitch.tv site, so if it is blocked you might not be able to log in again.
edit: well if you could log in the first place you might also be ok XD.
One year later , no fix. Faith in devs decrease by 1d6
There isn't a "fix" because there isn't a bug to fix - this is a design decision to utilise the Twitch user authentication framework.
As I understand it, this is a company policy for Twitch, rather than a decision made by the D&D Beyond development team. All of the Curse websites, like Gamepedia, Curseforge etc use Twitch login. ref
For visibility though:
Your D&D Beyond profile is the same thing as your Twitch account (though you can define a nickname for this site).
If you wish to logout from D&D Beyond.
Head over to https://www.twitch.tv/ and select Log Out from the profile menu at the top-right of the page.
if you have multiple accounts and wish to switch account
Follow the step above for logging out, then login using the correct Twitch account.
Yes I understand the situation, it’s just a little frustration when your as lazy I am. Sorry if I seemed short (I was a little brash).
My unlearned self though, can’t see why a simple login with other account button could not be implemented. There’s prob a reason . I just like things easy.
Kudos for swift retort though.
(Also can’t get bloody Sam Riegel’s Damn jingle out of my head )

Thanks!

I have the same problem.
On Mobile it keeps trying to access the old account. I've logged off, I've tried to disable the account (It won't let me).
Here is a crazy idea, add a section of login that allows you to designate the twitch account.
Will you be prorating our subscription costs until you fix this?
The mobile site won't even let me sign out.
This didnt help me
You can go to https://www.twitch.tv and logout there, then logout here on DDB.
And I cast Heroism on the community.
How do I log out to create a second account? Every time I log out, it logs me right back in!

It's infuriating, perhaps a not me option in the twitch auto lodging frame is in order.
