So I have been using D&D Beyond and I have noticed that some spells that have no benefit when cast at a higher level show as options for the higher spell slots and some don't.
For example my Horizon Walker Ranger only shows Goodberry as a level 1 spell but shows Misty Step in level 2 and level 3.
Some spells when upcast get stronger and some do not. For example, goodberry doesn't get any better at higher level, but fireball does. But all spells can be cast using higher level spell slots.
Bumping this thread — three and a half years since the last acknowledgement, this is still an issue.
uhhh dude - March 2020 was not three and a half years ago. DDB has a lot going on right now to even think about fixing some bugs. While sure its annoying, it is not game ending that these don't show as being upcasted. Secondly you ca turn off seeing spells as upcasted so again, for many players who choose to not see if a spell is even being upcasted this is a non-issue.

I am aware of that, both of the spells I mentioned don't get a benefit for being cast at a higher level but they display differently.
Ah, I see what you mean now. It appears that the goodberry spell from Ranger is displaying the upcasting differently to the horzion walker spells.

As a player, one can always simple tick off the box manually.
