I have the Rakdos background in my level 4th druid and 1st level cleric.
The thing is, following the multiclassing spellcaster table, I should have access to 3rd level spells, which I have. But what I don't have is the spells for the 5th level spellcaster from the Rakdos background.
I guess D&D Beyond is only tracking the level of the highest leveled class. Is this how it should be?
As a Druid 4/Cleric 1, you count as a 5th level spellcaster (both druid and cleric are full level spellcasters). According to the multiclasing spell slot table, you should have the following spellslots available:
1st level: 4
2nd level: 3
3rd level: 2
Based on the rakdos cultist background, that should add the following spells to choose from:
2nd level spells: crown of madness, enthrall, flaming sphere
3rd level spells: fear, haste
Note that the level listed in the background is the level of the spell, not the level of your character. As a 5th level spellcaster, you only have access to up to 3rd level spells.
This is because the background adds spells to your class spell lists. The spells you can choose are based on your class level, not your total character level. You should be able to see on your sheet that your Druid class can select spells of 1st and 2nd level, and your Cleric class can select spells of 1st level only.
As you are a multiclass character you have spell slots of 3rd level, but you cannot prepare spells of 3rd level as neither of your individual classes is at least level 5. Currently, those 3rd level slots can be used to cast your 1st and 2nd level spells for additional effects.
Once you increase either your Druid or Cleric level to 5, you will gain access to 3rd level spells.

I agree to the following things: I would only have access to 3rd level spells and not above this, I sould have 2 3rd level spell slots, I should not have access to 3rd druid or cleric spells to prepare, I should have access to 3rd level spells from the Rakdos background.
The only thing is I don't have access to those Rakdos background 3rd level spells. I get I could not prepare spells from neither the druid or the cleric, but I should be able to prepare those from the background.
I see the issue, and it's because I was giving you the wrong information (I'm new to multiclassing). Here's the important bit of info:
Spells Known and Prepared. You determine what spells you know and can prepare for each class individually, as if you were a single-classed member of that class. If you are a ranger 4/wizard 3, for example, you know three 1st-level ranger spells based on your levels in the ranger class. As 3rd-level wizard, you know three wizard cantrips, and your spellbook contains ten wizard spells, two of which (the two you gained when you reached 3rd level as a wizard) can be 2nd-level spells. If your Intelligence is 16, you can prepare six wizard spells from your spellbook.
As a druid 4/cleric 1, your druid levels give you access to cantrips, 1st and 2nd level spells, while your cleric levels give you access to cantrip and 1st level spells.
You do however have spell slots going up to 3rd level, you just can't prepare any 3rd level spells because your individual class levels aren't high enough

The Rakdos background doesn’t grant you those spells, it adds those spells you your Druid spell list, and to your Cleric spell list. Since your current level in either class is not high enough to grant you 3rd-level spells, you don’t have access to them yet. As soon as you hit 5th-level in either class, they will grant you access to 3rd-level spells, and those two will be waiting for you. In other words, when you said “I get I could not prepare spells from neither the druid or the cleric....” what you have to understand is that those two spells aren’t on “The Rakdos list” the Rakdos background adds them to your Druid and Cleric lists.

Thanks Mellie.
I find this really strange knowing that the spellcasting level increases with all the spellcasting classes my characters has.
Anyways, thank for your reply :)
Spellcasting level increases, but the two classes must each prepare their spells independently according to the rules for multiclassing in the PHB.
