The dice-roller in the forums is failing to load the tooltip. I have heard from other sources it affects them also, so that leads me to believe it's a site problem.
Dice rolls are not resolving so you can see the character of the result, only the result. I can't tell if my PCs are cheating because it is only showing the number and not how they got the number. This seems consistent no matter where I login from or what browser I use. Is it my login? Are others seeing this?

Has anyone heard an ETA for fixing this yet? It's been broken for over a week and dice are kind of important to D&D.
If they're using some sort of open source software for this, and can provide a link to the code, I imagine many of us techie types would be glad to try to help look into it (I know I would be.)
It's probably very low on their list of things to fix especially given some of the problems the site has been having over the past week. The rolls work - you just can't see their breakdown. Really annoying for the Super Yahtzee Thread though.
Yeah, very annoying for the new player PbP campaign I'm running when I can't verify their rolls to see if the players are adding in the correct modifiers and such too.

Oh you can do that. View their post history - it shows the roll code in there rather than the result. If it doesn't then they're using coloured text to produce that effect and it's clear they're cheating - or not.
As the title says, when I mouseover a dice roll, I see a spinning circle, but the tooltip does not load. I tried this in Firefox and Chrome.
The console logs for Firefox say:
Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://www.dndbeyond.com/dicerolls/249650p2/tooltip?callback=window.CurseTips[%27waterdeep-tooltip%27].handleTooltipData”.
Edit: this is using the desktop version of the website.
I'm going to roll a single d20 here and see what the error message is. 5
Edit: when I mouseover that dice roll, I see two error messages. The first one says:
The script from “https://www.dndbeyond.com/dicerolls/251296p1/tooltip?callback=window.CurseTips[%27waterdeep-tooltip%27].handleTooltipData” was loaded even though its MIME type (“application/xml”) is not a valid JavaScript MIME type.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I've been using the Dice Roller for Play by Post games and it has always worked for me, hovering my cursor over the dice roller result in a post and seeing how it got to be that number. But it seems like the last few weeks I believe, when I go to hover over a dice roller result to see what the roll was along with the modifier, all I get is a black ring with red just spinning and spinning, not loading up the results like it normally does. It's not just mine either, it's any time I hover over any dice roller result. It just gives that spinning ring and never loads at all. It's not my internet connection, I know that but it feels like I'm the only one having this issue since no one else seems to have posted about this. Is anyone else having this issue and is there any way to fix it?

They're aware. It's being looked into. There have been a lot of posts about this, actually. But I think they got merged into a single thread somewhere.
For some reason for the past couple/few weeks when I mouse over dice rolls in a post it just spins and spins, but never shows what the actual dice rolls themselves are. It used to work fine. Not sure what changed.
I'm on Firefox on a Windows 10 machine.

I've been having increasing problems in the last 24 hours with "Manipulated Dice" issues in PBP games.
As a DM, I want to roll the dice, and then edit the post to narrate the results. It used to work just fine. Recently, not so much. Even if I avoid anything remotely like editing the roll (just adding some words at the end of the line, say,) I'll get a "Manipulated Dice" error. Worse, it often rerolls the dice - completely changing the narrative and confusing everyone.
Did something change in the mechanics of dice rolls recently? I'm using Chrome on a Mac.
Another frustrating side-note: sometimes upon a browser refresh, it reverts to an earlier, pre-edited version of the forum post. Continued refreshes or a new window will usually restore the edit eventually.
A final thought: As a DM, it'd be nice to be able to turn off "Manipulated Dice" detection for our own posts in our own campaign threads. (Sometimes we want to manipulate 'em a little!)
When the in thread dice roller is used I can no longer see the math behind the rolls. For example, I used to hover my mouse over a 21 and I'd see that my player rolled a 19+2. All I get now is the infinite loading circle. It's happened in Firefox, Chrome and Chrome on my iPad.
Anyone else get this?

Hello,
Hope all is as well as it can be where you are.
The dice-roller in the forums is failing to load the tooltip. I have heard from other sources it affects them also, so that leads me to believe it's a site problem.
Some examples - 48 8 Ability scores: 17 14 11 9 14 13
If there are known fixes, can they be shared.
Thank you very much for your time.
Kindest Regards,
I was just about to come and post about this as well. Not working for me either.

Wonderful, I was worried that it was a 'works for me' bug.
