I actually really like this a lot and that would be great to implement into the character sheets.
I think they're talking about the ability to delete a racial language or swap it for something else.
Personally I see no reason why they cannot just make a homebrew copy of the race and edit the Languages trait, but people like to be really handed everything in super-easy ways, so, here we are.

Work arounds are not the same as being officially accessable.
The original issue of being able to add a custom language to your character has been resolved, as you can add a custom language directly from the character sheet view. Click on the "Proficiencies and Language" box, and add your custom language (or additional language) there. I use this feature all the time! :D

If you have a request for additional custom language support or homebrew languages, it may be best provided in D&D Beyond Feedback, or as a feature request.

It finally happened. We can add custom languages! The system works!

Has to be done straight from the new character sheet!

D&D Beyond FoundersThe character sheet - check the bottom-left where it says "proficiencies & languages" and you'll see a grey gear icon - click that.
The sidebar will display, including a dropdown box for "Add new proficiencies"
Select "Language" from that, either existing or custom.

Hello, I am having issues adding a set language and a language that can be chosen when homebrewing a race. Could you help me figure out how to do it?
