The item has a spell with a charge on it and charge cost on spell. It is set to reset after long rest. It does not reset after the long rest. Any help would be appreciated.
Right now we do not reset weapons "automagically" during short/long rest. The reason is most of the official items have reset rules have you roll dice to see how many charges you actually recover. We hope to improve this to where you can record dice roll numbers in the UI to manage that all in one place. Thank you for the report.
I seem to be having this issue too. Is this still true, that item charges do not reset on a short/long rest if set to do so?
The tooltip for charge reset condition in the homebrew editor specifically notes "Choose Short Rest, Long Rest, or Dawn to tie into those conditions within the character sheet.", so I would assume the reset works now. Is it possible the item is just set up wrong?
Sorry for the thread necromancy - just wanted to check in on this, realize there's been lots of new content coming out and some of it's required new tool sets.
appreciate the response Iamsposta, but I was referring to the frontend developers statement - that seemed to indicate it may be a consideration, and the potential adding in a dice roll to the ui (to the item charge recovery?) that part wasn't 100% clear, the response was before my time on D&D beyond so there may not have been any dice roll functionality at all /shrug.
my bad for not quoting them initially for clarity.

They are instead adding Actions to magic items and will move the official items that have charges set to reset on rests to using those Actions so that they will actually work correctly. I anticipate charges will never reset on a rest as they are not really supposed to. I could be wrong though. 🤷♂️
My staff of healing won't restore any charges. I used 5 of the 10 charges, had to manually mark off the charges, now I cannot get them to reset. Tried long rest, tried clicking on the dice roll, tried manually unclicking the charge boxes, nothing works.

Manually unchecking the boxes should work. Please post a link to your character sheet so someone can look into it for you.

Manually unchecking did not work, I deleted and re-added the staff of healing, now it seems to be working
