every time i click to look at my spells tab in the character sheet

i get a beholder error message. is there something i can do?

Remove homebrew.

Most of the time it's some homebrew thing. Perhaps a magic item that grants spells but hasn't set charges properly?

Your character has a lot of homebrew items. Try removing these from the character and then see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, then one (or more) of these was causing the error. You can add them one by one checking spells after each one until the error occurs again, which will tell you which one was the problem. It's most likely a problem with how charges are set up for the item.

You have a whole shed-load of homebrewed magic items. Usually when this problem happens, it’s because one or most of those magic items is using charges, but the item is not configured properly so the item could technically cast one or more of those spells at a level above 9th. If the “Max Charges” for the spell could do that, it’s a likely culprit for your problem.

 Check the ones with charges first, they’re your most likely culprits.
