The Way of Shadow Monk Class Feature "Shadow Arts" doesn't currently provide the spells listed (minor illusion, darkness, darkvision, pass without trace, and silence).
I am also experiencing this issue. Way of the shadow does not provide any spells on the character sheet. I bought the shadow primarily so I could easily access the spells.
Is there a way to customize/homebrew the characters so to just add spells even if over the normal limit? That would be at least a work around to have the spells listed on the character.
As a temporary quick fix it would be nice if they would be at least linked in the features description, to have a quick access to the spells description.
I created a Homebrew item, "Shadow Arts Monk" which has the spells attached to it. So the spells are now listed in my spells section. (That the export misses spell, feature and item descriptions is a different topic i guess)
Why do spells not appear for Shadow Arts monks. I have one and this is really annoying. What's the point in using this service if the content I've purchased doesn't function?
Additionally some place that shows the details of each of the monk abilities (regardless of monastic tradition) would be great. I know they show up in class features, but it's BURIED. Not at all convenient to click through 2 different menus to get to the spells my shadow monk can use, then have to go also look up the spells in a separate location because they aren't visible on my character sheet.
Overall DND Beyond seems great, but NOT a great user experience in this instance.
Push, I really think the spells should be in the Spells section. At the very least, that should be true for Minor Illusion, but I would love to have my spell rules handy. Sadly the spell names aren't linked in the Class Features box.
This isn't an issue, at least not a bug or anything. This is a request for redesign possible.
The reason why you don't have these in your spell list is because monks don't "cast" spells. They use Ki not spell slots and the Spell section you're thinking of only appears for the spells that are cast as spells. You do not have these spells as, well, actual spells because you have them as "spell effects" you create with ki. This is why you find them in class feature and mark them off as a Ki use in the Limited Uses section.
I agree that a redesign of this would be nice but it's not really a bug/issue. Just a design preference. I believe the spell list thing is something that is going to be redesigned for the new character sheets they are in process of making. I do hope they consider this.
I like that you want to point this out, and I agree that these aren't spells in the ingame sense of the word. However if you ever played a Race with innate spellcasting, you know that their spells actually do show up in the spells section, and Minor Illusion is a core cantrip that doesn't rely on Ki expenditure. The system that's in place actually works quite well, however for this particular Shadow Arts feature, it doesn't seem to use the infrastructure of DDB
This is a great system with room for progressive improvement. Simple programing solutions, including all spell-like abilities producing results that displays them easily accessible with activation cost and frequency, are some of what is needed to more greatly please us. The better the progress in the programming and resolutions, the better the progress in the reviews, which leads to better progress in profit. Please keep moving forward in all those ways; I'll be getting the digital Sword Coast (already own hardcopy) and player subscription this weekend and the legendary bundle soon cuz I know you will. Thanks

Also Way of the Long Death is missing the benefits if chosen for a character by a player.

Also having this same issue
Same issue?
I have the same problem.

This is still an issue and affects one of my players as well.
Thanks for the workaround idea, Webstrap.
Same here.
Same issue here, this would be really nice to have on the character sheet and not have to look them up separately.
Bump.

Same here, I totally forgot I had the minor illusion cantrip for a time.

Same issue here
when is this going to be fixed?
I've just ran into this issue too. Still present.
Find a way to add it to a spell list, or cross link them in my Limited Uses: Class features: Ki window.
