I'm trying to make a blood mage subclass for a campaign my friends and i are playing but it won't let me put the class as public or let me multi-class it. I tried making it with a template but it's telling me that "BLOOD MAGE is currently too similar to The Fiend to share with the community", so I tried remaking it from scratch with all the exact same info and content but that one's telling me "Blood Mage is currently too similar to Circle of Spores to share with the community" and "This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels". What the hell am I doing wrong. Here's two subclasses, prettyt much all exact same info except for level changes I adjusted in the second.
Make sure you have a description entered, and save from the topmost save button of the homebrew editor. That will trigger the algorithm to check your homebrew again.
Also, if you want to share it with your friends in a campaign, you do not need to publish it. It will be shared in the campaign automatically. Character sheets do have to be set to allow homebrew, though.
ArwensDaughter has given you some of the info I have for you, so I won’t repeat it.
I will point out that any Warlock subclass must have features at levels 1, 6, 10, and 14. They also must not have features at any other levels. For example, if you gave them a feature at level 1, that also includes a boost at, say, level 11, depending on how you programmed it that would trigger the "This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels" warning.
