For some reason my character sheet is incorrectly calculating attack bonus/damage (https://ddb.ac/characters/20251699/FIl3kS). It lists my attack bonus with my longbow+2 as 16 however my dex bonus is 5, my proficiency bonus is 5 and the longbow +2, and my archery fighting style would only make it 14. Likewise, the damage is listed as +9 but should be +7. If I add any item to my inventory the numbers fix themselves until I refresh, in which case they revert to the wrong numbers. It is really frustrating, please help.
Hello! Could you let me know if this issue is still persisting for you? The team has implemented a fix that should help. :)
Still an issue, nothing appears to have changed.
Addendum. It now appears to work if I am NOT logged in. So if I open my character in an incognito window before logging in, it will show correctly. As soon as I log in, it shows the wrong values. If I then log out, it goes back to the correct values.
A player in my campaign is seeing a similar issue on his ranger character sheet. The "to hit" modifier should be +7 for this level 3 ranger, but instead it's +13. How do I fix it?
The main difference is this is with a non-magical longbow.
UPDATE: I went into the character sheet in question and changed the fighting style from archery to another option, then back to archery. This appears to have permanently fixed the issue.
I am also showing some characters with +2 to hit/+2 to damage across melee and ranged weapons, though oddly my unarmed is showing up correctly. I have narrowed it down to characters in a particular campaign that was created somewhere in mid to late October 2020. I have created characters/campaigns since that are not showing this bug.

The cause is usually either a bug with the Fighting Style - in which case you will need to change it to the "- Choose an option -" setting until it sticks and then re-choose. Or it's from a poorly made homebrew - in which case it will either need to be fixed or removed.
It was a homebrew item (a wand that for some reason had a +2 magic bonus, I am at work and can’t read the handout it was based on to see why) that was at fault, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I am having this issue, as well. My character is a ranger, and all his ranged and finesse attacks (both homebrew and non) are showing +8, instead of the +6 they should be.
Alright, I can’t tell for sure because their descriptions don’t say anything about bonuses to attacks, but If I were a betting man, and I am, I would lay odds that either the two magic bows or the two magic arrows were set up incorrectly. I suspect it’s the bows. Lemme guess, they’re sposta have a bonus to their attack rolls, but not damage rolls. Am I right?
I’ll have to check with my DM. Originally, he set them up as +1 bows, with d10 damage. He’s trying to modify them, and I think he’s having some trouble with the homebrew generator.

I am having the same issue.
Proficiency bonus +2
Dex bonus +4
Magic dagger bonus +1
Total Attack Bonus (calculated on character sheet): +8 (should only be +7)
Total Damage Bonus (calculated on character sheet): +6 (should only be +5)
I removed the magic daggers from the sheet and then reloaded them. The bonuses were fixed until I refreshed the page. Then they went back up.

Thank you both! I'll get this information to the team. :)

Please post a link to your character sheet so someone can look into it for you. Odds are one (or more) of those homebrews has been set up incorrectly.

i couldn’t find a button to share a live link.
That won’t help. Just copy the URL from the character sheet and paste it into this thread.
