Names must be unique, so it's a good idea to have a backup idea. Here are some tips to help you choose a unique username:
Combine unrelated words or concepts: Think of two things that don't typically go together and merge them. For example, "QuantumBanana" or "CrimsonWhisper." This often creates unique combinations.
Integrate numbers or underscores: Instead of just adding "123" or your birth year, consider using a less common significant number (like a favorite jersey number, the number of pets you have, or a street number you lived on) or underscores.
Use a variation of your actual name or a nickname: Try spelling your name backward, repeating certain characters (ex. Sillvva), combining parts of your first and last name, or using a less common nickname you have. Adding initials can also help.
Please allow up to 4 days for credits or name changes to be processed. You won't get a pop-up notification, so check your profile to see if the nickname form is available.
How to use the Nickname Credit
NOTE: For users in the European Economic Area, your account could have been deleted during D&D Beyond's transition to Fandom if you did not previously opt in for the transfer of your data. If this is the case, you have received a free nickname change credit at the end of the deletion process. With that, you can change your nickname to whatever you desire and all of your posts, comments, etc. will be maintained.
