when i first leveled to 3 and added the oath of conquest, armor of agathys and command showed up on my character sheet. But once i started my session this evening, they were no longer there for me to use. I was able to work around this in roll20 for this session but this is not very convenient. is there a way to fix this?
Update: After clearing cookies and restarting firefox, Command now shows up but not Armor of Agathys
Armor of Agathys is not in the Basic Rules or the SRD; to have access to it, you either need the PHB or the character must be in a campaign with content sharing turned on. Have you purchased the PHB? If not, I’m guessing you are/were in a campaign with content sharing turned on. Ask the person who turned it on to turn it off and then back on again.
i purchased the book involving the Oath of Conquest which was not the PHB but Xanathar's Guide.
The spell Armor of Agathys is in the PHB, so to have access to the spell, you have to etiher purchase the PHB or just purchase the spell. A third option, which is more complicated because it's an Oath spell, is to homebrew the spell and homebrew the Oath of Conquest.
I did buy the full version. I thought the spell was in Xanathar since it is included as part of the Oath from that book. I tried homebrewing the oath but it was too complicated having to homebrew all the spells too, so I figured the easiest way was to buy the book. Guess I was wrong. Thanks for the correction ArwensDaughter
Good news is you don’t have to buy the whole PHB, or do all that homebrew. You can just buy the spells from the PHB for a fraction of the coast and you will get credit towards the price of the whole book if you decide to purchase it later.
no worries. posted another question maybe you can help with. if i purchase content in the android app, will that content include digital assets that can be used with the character creator? my problem is i am broke after buying xanathar but i have a google play gift card i would like to use but i don't want to waste my time if i can't even use the sourcebook in the character creator
Sorry, I live in an Apple household. 🤷♂️ What I can tell you is that “Compendium Only” is usually $20 and does not include the bells and whistles (hence why I asked in my first post) but the “Full Version” is $30 and that’s the one with the bells and whistles. The app is only a compendium reader for offline use, so probably not. However, if you go to the marketplace on this website and click on the PHB, if you scroll down you will be able to see your purchasing options. The spells only mini package is only e few dollars* and you can download the compendium for that purchased section on the app I believe as well.
*(Less than $10 I’m pretty sure, I don’t remember exactly how much since bought the full versions because as a DM it was worth it for me and I don’t buy hardbacks because trees and toxic inks)
i just went ahead and purchased it because price matched the one for the full book in the pc marketplace... it turns out it was the full book including digital assets. thanks for the help

But did you purchase it in digital edition from this website? Not the “Compendium Only” version, but the “Full Version” must have been purchased.

that is especially good news
Happy to help. That works for any book too.
BTW, Sorry for my first post, I misread what you said. I thought you wrote that you had purchased both books.
