i just notice that disciple of life class feature is not taken into account when I look at the cure wounds spell. Eg. Lvl 1 cure wounds only does 1d8+5 (wis+5)where as if you take into account the disciple of life it should be for the same spell 1d8+8.
This error has been ongoing. Can it please be corrected, as a correct figure for healing is essential to the Life Cleric build? Currently, the healing does not calculate the Disciple of Life feature into the healing.
Disciple of LifePHB60
Whenever you use a spell of 1st level or higher to restore HP, the creature regains additional HP equal to 2 + the spell’s level.

It's not a bug precisely, it's a feature they haven't developed yet. I think they plan to get to it eventually, but I have no idea how long it will be before they do.

That's like saying a toaster that doesn't toast bread isn't precisely broken, the manufacturer just hasn't built that functionality into the toaster yet....even though you bought the toaster with the expectation that it would toast your bread, since that is a core feature of the toaster.
Having said that, you are correct that it isn't a "bug", it is a defect, because the Life Domain is a BASIC RULE feature (as seen here), and should have been built in from the start. An overlooked feature is still a missing feature, and since one would logically expect that all of the BASIC RULE features would be functional, it is therefore a defect. I've been a corporate developer for over 25 years now...and trust me, users call you out on expected functionality ALL THE TIME as a defects (although they incorrectly call it a bug).
For the uninitiated (roll a d20 and add your DEX modifier), a bug is a bit of code that causes the software to fault or act abruptly (such as throw unexpected errors)...this defect does neither.
Any chance we have an ETA for this function to be built in? It's been flagged since 2017 so I'm curious where this is on the priority list?
Nope. DDB staff don't provide ETAs for planned features. The closest thing to an ETA is the Feature Roadmap, which breaks things down into "in progress," "Short term," and "Long term"
If I remember correctly, addressing this is part of the "Temporary Effects System" (yes, I know, it's know not a temporary effect), which is in the "long term" column currently.
I think part of the difference is that EB/AB affects only one spell. Blessed healer affects any spell that involves healing, and there are a bunch of them. But I can certainly understand that folks are impatient for the sheet to reflect Blessed Healer. I would be too if I played a Life Cleric.

There are a few similar features, that change the behaviour of existing spells, that haven't been coded to do that yet.
I expect that this will be resolved in one of the coming updates to the character builder & character sheet.

Sweet.
Bump because I would really like this please
I'd like it, too. I noticed it today and found this thread while checking to see if there was already a bug report.
Bump!!!
Would love if this could be implemented! Especially now that the new character sheet has been released!

Hi,
This remains an issue. Any idea when it may be looked at?
Thanks,
Envaris

Yeah, they've known about it for over 14 months...kind of a long time for a defect in the BASIC RULES to remain in place, don't you think????

It's a bit odd that the functionality seems to exist for the eldritch blast/Agonizing Blast combo, but not for cure wounds/Blessed Healer.
