The subscriptions do not unlock any content. You need to buy either the PHB or the class bundle.
Yea if your doing a subscription to be able to use characters creations like it advertises then not even in a salty way but that's a rip off, if I hold a subscription for a year that's $70, Now I see why the community prefers outside apps and that's really to bad. I'm new to D&D and now what I thought was an amazing tool for a good price I think now is a money trap
I don't want to seem rude, believe me, but nowhere in the descriptions of the two subscriptions it is said that they would have unlock non-free content. There are at least two official threads which explain the difference between subscriptions and one-time purchases. Also, in my previous post, I said one-time purchase. I apologize if that was not clear enough.
Read, don't skim, when making purchases online. That's a rule that should go to every purchase,even outside of DDB. No other website I've seen emphasizes what is not included in a purchase description.
I'm not mad, and I'm sure if I wanted to read threads and what not I'd see that stipulation but to unlock content little by little for cost after cost that's a money trap thanks all y'all for your time I do appreciate it have a good day.
Again, maybe you are missing few things. The piecemeal purchase option is for those who want only some pieces of the books. And that has been requested by the community. If you want buy an entire book, you can do it with a single, one-time purchase.

If you want the Beastmaster only, go on this page. In the subclass section, there is the option to buy the Beastmaster for 1.99 $.
when bldg a character in the character builder you cant make a ranger a beast master only a hunter
To unlock the beastmaster, you need to do a one-time purchase from the Marketplace.

It takes a little patience and reading. It's fully described when purchasing.

No Beastmaster selectable when choosing ranger class and having bought all subclasses.
Ya I keep trying to purchase but says error every time like it or not there are bugs and it's a bit of a money trap
