Magic items still showing up when I've blocked sharing for avernus

Some magic items have huge spoilers on them so I want to block avernus magic items by restricting away the source book but my player says it's still there and it only goes away if I remove sharing from the campaign all together.

When you block content it only blocks the compendium content so they cannot read it, the character options do not get blocked.
