I was looking to update the spells on a Divine Soul Sorcerer I have by including some of the new spells released or updated in Tasha's Cauldron and I can't see any of the new spells marked as Cleric, on my list of options. It says Divine Souls can choose from the Cleric list as well but there's no mechanicism allowing me to do so on an online system. Am I missing something or is this an oversight?
That's a shame as its the only tool I have. I mean they remembered to add a clockwork soul tag to the likes of summon construct. They could just add a Divine soul tag to all the newer cleric spells. it would probably be the easiest way to do it if possibly most time consuming. I think it shows they bolt on expansions as opposed to add them to an existing data base or the current script showing all cleric spells would then trigger for the new as well.
If you make a homebrew copy of the Divine Soul, you can add a class feature option via which you can add the new spells to the character’s spell list if you want.

The expanded cleric spells will almost guaranteed not work correctly for a Divine Soul on DDB. Their code is likely way to limited for that.

The thing is, they can’t. Those are “optional.” They have no way to make them do that, but only if that option is chosen.
