Hi, I'm a new DM and I bought a few books as well as the Master Tier subscription. I have 2 campaigns I'm in with my own content sharing turned on but my players can't access my books for reading. Only the character creation info. I checked content management and everything is enabled. Wondering what's wrong
They only have access to the character options for characters in the campaign, but they should have access to the compendiums, if they are allowed in sharing management. How are they trying to access content to read? If they are using “Game Rules” and then choosing classes, spells, etc, it’s possible that might not work. What happens if they use the Sources menu and choose one of the books you are sharing from there?
Soes rhisnapplybto leveling up? I am tryinf to choose my konold artificer class specialty and have xero option. I ma actively in a campagn that has fully shared content i know ir worked as i was able to roll up a new character with a kobold but now incsnt acess the level.ip options,? Iva left campaign and rejoined and that did nothing.
I think they said they tried looking through rules and didn't work that way cuz they don't own the books, but before I had them I'm sure they worked when I was in a game as a player and DM had lots of books and I was able to read the books.

You probably went through "Sources" and then to the specific book; ask your players to try that and see if it works.
On the topic of content sharing, I'm planning on taking up the role of DM for my group, and the issue of how players will access all of their subclasses and spells was brought up. Our former DM, who will be a player in the new campaign, owns most of the content and has a master tier subscription. I have a hero tier sub and a few source books, but not enough to supplement my future players. What is the best why for me to have a campaign for my former DM (who owns all the content) and the other players to be in where I can best access their character sheets?

If your former DM has a content sharing slot left, they can turn on content sharing for your campaign. As DM, you should create the campaign, but once they join they can turn on content sharing.

That is the way the content sharing works. The players only have access to the books in the character sheet creation process.

I did and that seemed to work. Thanks!

Good to know, that should take care of my group's needs. I glad DNDBeyond lets players share content.
