I'm currently building a sorcerer Shadar Kai. When I choose +2/+1 for the stats it seems to give x4 to each so I reach 20 charisma at level 1. I was wondering if that is a bug or a feature that I'm missing somehow ?
Here are the stat distribution I choose and the total after applying +1 to dex and +2 to charisma:
Strenght: 10 = 10
Dex 15 = 19
Con 14 = 14
Int 10 = 10
Wis 11 = 11
Cha 12 = 20
Please let me know if I need to manually change these numbers.
Well, you’re definitely correct that it’s coming from the race itself. (Had to double check that it wasn’t coming from some erroneous magic items, or something having been accidentally set with an override or anything like that.)
And it’s definitely the official MotM version of the subclass. (Had to make sure you were using the official version and not an incorrectly programmed homebrew version or anything like that either.)
It’s not likely since it’s only affecting you with the one Option and not the other, and apparently only with some of the ability scores and not all of them, but it’s worth asking just in case. Are you by chance running any browser extensions, ad/popup blockers, or a VPN? It’s possible that one of those might be interfering with DDB. Like I said, it’s not likely that’s the problem, but it bears asking nonetheless.
I'm not running anything special, I'm on edge and I do have adblock and mendeley as well as cisco webex. I will try on another browser.
If the issue is only with me than its ok, I'll just use the other option of +1/+1/+1 and put two in charisma instead, that seems to resolve the issue. I was also thinking this char seems too OP for a level 1.
