So there definitely is a tag for items that can be used for spellcasting foci; however, it only seems to be used for the items that were in the Eberron book. All other magical items have very inconsistent tagging, and it's hard to get an idea of what's out there that can assist spellcasting or at least have that particular feature available.
Some examples where the tag would be handy:
Dragon-Touched Focus (it's literally in the name but it's not tagged)
Blast Scepter
Astral Shard (Sorceror focus)
Nature's Mantle (ranger or druid focus)
There's definitely more, but this is what I was able to find quickly.
Agreed. It looks like the Focus tag was applied to the common Magic Items from Eberron, but has not been applied to any before or after this. Spellcasting foci are currently one of the most challenging things to search for accurately. They don't come up under "+1 magic bonus", there are no filters to search for "only items you can attune to" (compare to the check box for 'only items you are proficient with'), and a good portion of the spell focus items are listed in Wondrous Items (the largest category).
It feels like applying the Focus tag to items that can be used as a spellcasting focus would be a pretty simple quality of life upgrade that could make them a lot easier to navigate.

They can’t because WotC didn’t apply the tag to those items.
