Is it feasible to actually be able to reach out to a Dev directly or forum moderator with a question? There are some questions that are just so sensitive nowadays that they are going to end up creating a big flaming turd of a post, and I really don't want to do that. I love conflict in my D&D games, but I really don't want to be a source of angst here on the forums.

Devs generally do not have time to answer questions from users, especially ones that could be asked on the forums.
Moderators usually are not able to answer questions that would be aimed at devs.
And I would wonder if a question you don't feel comfortable asking on the forums is one that would be appropriate to send to a member of staff?
Fairpoint. But I'll let the devs/mods decide that, if I can reach out to one directly. It's not like I'm intending to ask them what underwear they're wearing and talking dirty to them. ;-)

I am a moderator and I'm advising that any question you'd want to pose to a dev but don't feel comfortable posting in the forums is not a question you should be private messaging to staff or moderators.

Thanks. I disagree. And I'm not posting about a hot button topic here on the forum, regardless. I'll contact the support staff directly. Feel free to keep repeating yourself when I'm trying to be considerate of the community atmosphere, though. You are the only person who replied who offered rebuttal instead of help. Good moderating, man.
