To everyone working on DDB - you folks are AWESOME! Thank you for letting us all into your beta! To the community - thank you for being the friendliest I've ever experienced in a forum!
Apologies if any of this has been covered in the past I am I overlooking it. Reviewing DnDBeyond with my group, there is on thing we all agree we would love to see.
Are there any plans to add in a 'manual override' function for character sheets? For example, add in a section for 'house rules' that allows us to add / remove feats, modify stats, etc without having to homebrew a racial variant / sub-class / magical item to get the same outcome. Maybe even expand it, and when a character is in a campaign, it has to be approved by the GM as well, similar to UA content, critical role content, etc.
This one change would be the difference maker for my group to buy in 100% - and is the one universal huge wish we all have - especially compared to some other online character builders.
Some of what you mention is already possible. You can adjust ability scores without homebrewing a racial variant, for instance.
As for adding "ad hoc" feats, skills, proficiencies, etc., that will be added in the upcoming release of the character sheet revamp. In general, you'll be able to customize any of the character's statistics.
As for source management, that's also something we're working on the first pass of in parallel. A DM will have control of which sources (including homebrew, UA, CR) characters within that campaign will have access to.
- Will there be partnerships with any other well-known content creators from the DMsGuild or the internet at large similar to the partnership with Matt Mercer? Is there any chance of us ever seeing content from, say, Matt "King of Kickstarter" Colville or MT Black, etc.? And will there be other Critical Role content incorporated in the future?
- One of the things that comes up incessantly on the forums is discussion of pricing. Some users have suggested the creation of a video (or maybe a series of videos) that go in depth not just on DDB pricing but the full extent of current functionality as well as common misconceptions about what DDB is and does could improve messaging and possibly lead to fewer people showing up wanting to argue despite not actually having an accurate understanding of the service. While we no doubt all love the lore videos, any chance we might see Todd or someone else dive into DDB and really explore it in-depth?

Question for the livestream if possible. What are your statistics in regards to subscriptions vs book purchases? Is most of your revenue coming from content purchases much more than subscription services? I am just curious because I haven’t seen the value in purchasing a monthly fee based service but have really liked the books and content abilities so far. Just curious what others are doing and who is paying for subscriptions. It may just be my situation that is different.
QUESTION: Could/Would DDB consider letting us buy "packs" of charcaters instead of requiring a subscription for unlimited characters? For example, $10 for a "10-pack" of character "slots" in our account?

You don't OWN your books on DDB: WotC can change them any time. What do you think will happen when OneD&D comes out?
Are there any plans to integrate some form of custom module creation? If so, would it possibly be integrated into the marketplace later down the line (in the same vein as DM's Guild)?
I think this is related.
Are Homebrew compendiums a feature that is possible, feasible, and/or planned?
Examples include writing your own adventure module to utilize the tooltips and links around the site, collecting your house rules and relevant links to official rules to share with players, and collecting your homebrewed races and monsters to provide more relevant lore about them that doesn't belong in the Homebrew submission.
Any chance we might see a better solution for spell scrolls? Right now there is only a generic spell scroll, and I guess you have to home brew for the specific spell.
Are we going to be able to see a custom item functionality in the character sheet when the revamp comes?
Something similar to add a custom attack. It could be anything from a really simple add item with a name description and weight. To the more advanced assigning it to be a certain type of items. This would be something I can see being two main uses. One when a dm gives you a custom item in the game and you want to note it down as he is saying and you will go on to homebrew it later. or Two for simple items that are not complex enough to need homebrew, like trinkets or things found in a giants bag. (Yes i know there is the other items section but it would be nice to be able to have some of those things included in the inventory).
Along with custom items, it would also be nice to be able to rename items in your inventory and add a weight (like for magic items that don't have an exact weight defined). This would allow a simple fix to the spell scroll problem that has been around from the beginning of the character sheet?
Basically just hoping to find out how inventory management will be improved with the character sheet revamp. (hopefully including containers too!)
Is there a discount in the legend bundle if you've already purchased content it contains?
If so what's the discount and how does it work? I'm sure there's a forum post on this, but it's probably worthwhile to have it denoted within the marketplace itself. Is there a plan for that in the future?
If that is the case, can it be denoted on the marketplace itself? Because it doesn't seem to be as of right now and has affected my purchasing decisions (or lack there-of) over time, in trying to justify purchasing the legend bundle instead of getting things piecemeal, and eventually just deciding to use my paper books instead. Although I may just be missing that note on the marketplace and if so I apologize.
Thanks for the hard work to you and the whole team!
Edited to adjust for LtDarien's clarification with strike-through and additional text in italics, added picture of purchase page when no content is owned on the store where (I believe) the discount is not noted in any way (although as he stated, I'm sure it's been answered on the forums).
I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned. Will there be any "encounter building" tools, that would allow DM's to pin a number of creatures in a section to be able to keep track of their stats without having to jump back and forth in the monsters section?
Can you allow us to lock out campaigns, on the DM content viewer? I don't want to share out the campaign info, unless it is a specific map(s)
Can you also add search everything as part of this above content blocking? I dont want my players to stumble upon info that they don't need to.
Can we get a fog of war mechanic for our maps?
Can we get a preview feature for books, info and items? E.g. during character creation you only see what you have purchased, not all the options are unlocked or selectable. If you had a preview option you could see it select it then buy it indivually or the book, you could also see what options are tied to what books.
You could even let the user finish their character, just lock it until they either change the option or buy the appropriate item or book.
As a returning player i dont know what is out there so it would be nice to know my options, and what books or individual costs for a specific, race or subclass, or item.
Also having a book and campaign preview could help you decide if it is worth the cost.
Can you send us 20% off coupon to buy physical books when we buy your digital books? That would go along way.
It would be way cool to have an upvote system beyond the basic forums, accessible to master tier users or legendary bundle owners (or members with high contribution rates, long-term involvement, etc...not trying to disenfranchise anyone who doesn't shell out for the premium stuff). The group granted access would be provided with a token-based system that would renew at some regular interval (e.g. monthly, quarterly) allowing a limited number of upvotes (the number of tokens they are issued) for items currently sitting in the backlog.
I think this would be a cool way for those of us in the community to ask ourselves not only "What do you want to see added to D&DB?" but also "What do you want to see added the most?" We could see how others are casting their votes/tokens and I think this would quell some of the "When are you coming out with <whatever>?" questions that come up since we would know where our fellow adventurers are putting their weight and thus, where Curse is more likely to steer its resources. It would be a cool way for the development team on Curse's side of the fence to get a bead on where priorities lie from our perspective, with the knowledge that we really are limited to voting for our tippy-top wishlist items.
After all, the usefulness of the app is all in the eye of the beholder. (Waka waka waka!)
In any case, a big thank you to BadEye and Co. I'm truly excited to see how D&DB continues to grow and become all the more awesome.
EDIT: I'd be curious to hear others' feedback and thought this might do OK as its own thread, so I opened one.

Two questions, one can we have a subscription option to unlock all content as long as we have the sub?(really can't afford all the rules and don't want to have to pay piecemeal) And two will the older d&d editions and d20 modern(and their supplements) be added at somepoint?
Will there be more languages available in the future ? The concept is great but i dont want to translate everything on the fly to german during my game nights ;)
My group have started chipping in and started buying content that we need. A quick question or two on the content sharing side of things.
1: Is it possible to limit what is shared from the Master Subscription. i.e. I don't want my players reading ahead to see what is coming next in the campaign we are currently doing but still want to share classes, items and monsters from campaign book but block story or spoiler elements.
2: Is Two way sharing possible? i.e Someone who has a free/hero account and has bought content e.g. a class from XGtE, is it possible to share with rest if they do not have master subscription but someone else in the campaign does have a master subscription. Asking because as we are buying stuff as a group, it's a bit unfair to associate everything with just one account. If Master subscription player leaves then rest of group left with nothing.
3: Will it possible to transfer content from one account to another in the future? (related to reasons for question 2 or a player wants to switch to DM for a campaign within a group)
4: Will the content sharing be added to the mobile app?

EGR,
I can answer all of these now:
1.) Not yet, but that is a near-term feature that we will be adding.
2.) Two-way sharing is already a supported feature. Once content sharing is enabled for a campaign, all data is shared from everyone in the campaign to everyone else in the campaign, regardless of who bought what or who enabled the content sharing.
3.) Currently we don't have plans to transfer purchases, although, reassigning a campaign to another user might be a possibility.
4.) Yes, and this is also a near-term feature that should show up soon.

I'd like to see a smoother flow for joining a campaign and sharing content. What have you and the team discussed regarding this topic?
