Me and som friends are playing a campaign where we have the possibility to get to 40 in a stat. I know this is unconventional but we are having fun. So would it be possible to change the override so this is possible. i don't really see why there is a cap on override anyway. Its not like people wouldn't notice if someone suddenly have a +15 to something :)
yeah i know, but I am also of that belief that DM's and players are meant to bend the rules and use our imagination. But i get it, i would just love to be able to use this platform for all my campaigns. I am really enjoying it so far :)
Is this something that might get changed. Our game started with our characters comming to an videogame-ish world where we got 42 point to set in our stats as we wished, with extra bonus for 30 and 40 in the same stat. And I would say that with the override system you have now it wouldn't be that hard to change. I'm not a dev so I wouldn't know.

Officially, the game is designed to have a cap of 30 for ant ability score, for both characters and monsters.

Hi there,
this isn't something that's likely to get changed, as the maximum statistic of 30 is defined by the game designers, Wizards of the Coast.

For the time being just add +5 or +10 to your rolls or whatever the modifier might be.
