BadEye also mentioned in the update about all spells from different sources (class, racial traits, etc.) being grouped together now. I'm not sure if we've show this on earlier dev updates, but here's an example from one of my characters - (it looks a little grainy because it's chopped and zoomed in)
Thanks everyone! Thanks especially for the screenshot and VOD link. I had looked for VOD in the twitch app on my iPad before posting but didn't find it. Glad to have it now.
One thing I noticed, and I may be reading too much into things, but when asked about VTT functionality, the language of the response changed from how it has been previously.
He has always said something to the effect of "There are no current plans to implement that kind of feature."
This time, if my memory serves me correctly, it was more along the lines of "We can't speak on anything like that now, but we are looking at a number of different features that will be very impressive." Which to me, seems to imply that they are now considering making some kind of map display feature, even if not a fully functional VTT. I think he did say that the focus will always be on the in-person game, but even then, virtual map features are extremely useful.

I would be absolutely ******* ecstatic if Beyond Help's interactive map feature was made a core component of the site. I think it is, quite frankly, a necessary feature that was a big oversight in initial site design and implementation.

I have faith. You can always tell when true fans are at the helm. You know they play and are like "You know what would really be awesome?" And then are like "Oh cool, good thing we're in a position to make that!"

I remember them talking about having difficulty incorporating DDB into the 3rd party VTTs, maybe they just decided "screw it, we're just going to make our own." Obviously this is wild speculation, of course.

When BadEye makes that statement that the feature list we'd like to implement is in the hundreds, he's not exaggerating. I have seen less than 10 things mentioned on the forums since beta announcement last year that were not already on our futures list. I just wish there were 1,000hrs in a day... *sigh*

Obviously I don't know what they've got up their sleeves but I doubt we'd ever see anything VTT-related before an official computer-readable export format for character sheets. It'd be so much easier to spit out some JSON than to try to catch up to Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds.

What on earth could possible make up hundreds of features like that? That's amazing.
I personally hope that we get character sheet importing someday- the 4e wotc builder had it and it made it possible to pass builds back and forth between people, I would also like to backup inactive characters locally so i can use my slots on more experimental builds and such.

Don't think backup/import will ever be possible, since that is part of the revenue model of this platform, and let's be honest 25/year ain't a bad price for the ease of use this platform gives. Duplicating/sharing, may become possible tho (i hope it does), tho lets be honest you can share a character to your campaign as the dm.

Yeah, it would still be more convenient to have the hero sub (so that it can be accessed from everywhere), I'm just leery of another subscription fee and wouldn't mind the inconvenience myself- I've already bought every book possible on here through the legendary bundle and i'd kill for more slots without the sub. You're probably right, something about another sub just makes me wince, its a total psychological thing.

So I slept through the developer update thanks to a nasty headache. Anyone want to share highlights?

Hope you feel better now.
Well, I think the most news today was the sneak peek of the character sheet revamp in mobile. I don't have a snapshot to share, but it looks amazing.
There has been a sneak peek of the Twitch integration as well.
After the character sheet revamp, coming within two weeks from now, next update would be blacklist/whitelist of sources.
Check out the VOD so far,

Some of the features that the DDB development team have planned are frankly awesome!
I can hardly wait, because it's going to be amazing.
