For Adventurers League games, characters are restricted to the options in the Players Handbook plus one additional source. So you can't have a Tabaxi Circle of Dreams Druid, for example, because the Tabaxi race is in Volo's Guide to Monsters while the Circle of Dreams Druid is in Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
Does D&B Beyond have some method (or is it planning to have something) that supports this, e.g. by warning the player that he's selecting multiple sources, maybe if it's switched on a "PHB +1" switch when he created the character, or something like that?
Adam said they were hoping to have it in place for the next season. I would emphasize the “hope” element of that; it was not a promise. By the time the AL changes were finalized for the current season (8?), there wasn’t time to implement the needed features here on DDB before the season opened. Given the amount of controversy over the changes, I personally am wondering if there won’t be considerable changes next season as well, which could further delay DDB implementation.
It should also be noted that AL Character Validation is on the DDB feature Trello board, under the "Short Term/Up Next" projects. This is not a timeline.
I would love this to be a checkbox list of unlocked material so you could pick which source options appear in the character builder. (I know this thread hasn't been active for a few months; I'm just really excited for it)

Full, as in log sheets and DCI numbers? I know, you can put in your DCI in your profile, but it's used for literally nothing right now.
I would also like to see support for Adventurer's League be a priority going forward, especially since ACP is a levelling stat to keep track of now.

As to exactly what AL support will look like, I don't know yet.

I really want this feature! It’s a bummer to get excited about a spell and then see that it’s from Elemental Evil or whatever.
