It would be nice to just have this whole twitch extension as a chrome extension, and be able to have this up at all times. Over any Crome tab or window. At a glance viewing of party information
The Firefox Twitch Extension is not working tonight as I watch the live stream of Critical Role. It worked fine two days ago during the live stream of Dungeon Dudes, so something went wonky between then and tonight.
When I roll over the DDB button below the stream window, the familiar purple outline appears. When I click on it, the controls function as expected—turn off visibility and the purple outline collapses; turn it on and the outline expands. Just no DDB data.
This is an amazing feature. I loved seeing it on Critical Role. I was wondering how possible this feature would be just for my computer to view my campaign. I DM on a laptop around a table and all my players update their stats during fights. I would love to be able to see their health update as they change it on my computer. This would be an amazing feature to have within my own game just for myself as a DM.
Twitch recently changed where the extension icons are (with no way for a viewer to change the location) so now the icons block the character slide out (CR). Can you change where the slide out comes from or is there customization feature I'm missing also me that privilege or does CR need to make the change?
Is there a service like this for private use? As in, can I have a screen displaying character stats for my party to see without running it through Twitch?
I've just started using this for my stream and I want to say thank you. I haven't run into any problems with it yet, outside of needing to create my home brew items so that I can add them to the character sheets. I've also found it helpful to point out mistakes my players have made on their character sheets that were missed, seems a few of my players were missing spells or not noting down an attunementproperly.
I would like to echo a sentiment made earlier, it would be nice to have the overlay present on mobile devices as we have a number of viewers that watch away from their computers. Overall though, my viewers have said they like the ability to use the overlay to get more information than the little blurbs we've been using thus far.
I think it would be cool if the data from the extension could be pulled via alternate sources (such as a browser address) so I could capture it in OBS rather than having it as an actual extension. This would make the information visible on recordings of streams (Twitch and YouTube), as well as accessible to people on mobile devices. I really like the animations and real-time display of the information provided by the extension, and think it adds a really nice dynamic touch. If you had a web-url specifically that worked with OBS which showed the information, I could add it as a standalone web source, and that would be pretty awesome I think :).
Having this as an extension is also annoying sometimes when I am streaming non-D&D games (I have to remember to temporarily turn it off :P).

Check out my Twitch channel where I live stream D&D! Check out my YouTube for replays of my D&D campaigns!
I've installed extension, configured with campaign, characters, it's activated, and I literally don't know what to do next, nothing seems to bring me to my campaign or characters within twitch. It's frustrating. I'm looking for some sort of "start game", or literally anything remotely like that,
I've got all the books and an exsisting campaign on my DnDBeyond account which is connected to my google account. I've recently made a twitch account and want to use the extension, but if I log out and connect with my Twitch account, I lose the campaign? Is there a way to make the extension recognise both accounts?

You should be able to link your existing DDB account (the one you own content on) to your Twitch account from here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/account
I have installed the overlay but having a good step by step video would be very helpful. I am new to twitch and do not stream a lot. and I am getting reconfused on setting up the overlay in time for our next session
I've tried, but it says I can only be linked with one each at a time. And if I log out of my Google connection and in with Twitch, then I lose all the content (shows as a different account)

Any other things I need to try? Would really like to get the overlay working
Are you unable to unlink your Twitch account from the secondary DDB account? (I'm guessing the system probably prevents you from doing so as you'd then be unable to log into that account at all...)
As someone new to Twitch, the posted instructions are not complete. It took me awhile to figure it out that I had to setup a stream to view the DNDBeyond extension. This is probably obvious for others. I'm sure there's a different way but this was how I was able to get it up and running.
Follow the instructions from post 1, then...
Download and install either Twitch Studio or Steamlabs OBS.
I started with Twitch Studio first. Run thru the initial configuration via the "Get Started" button
For the Main Screen Share, change your capture and select on any window you want to stream. For example, I selected by Discord App with Avrae bot.
The key is that you need to change your Stream info Category to "Dungeons & Dragons". You can give it any title you want.
Then click Start Stream and Go Live.
Login to the Twitch website and search for you channel. I searched by my username. Click on channel stream. It should say "Extension Enhanced" by it.
On the right side of the main window, there should be small square with a red B with a purple border. Click on it and make sure Visible is checked on.
If you hover your mouse over the window, your DNDBeyond PC should show. If you click on one, their stats should expand.
It might take a couple of ticks before the PC bar shows up.
NOTE: Twitch Studio is still in beta. I switched to Streamlabs OBS since TS kept on crashing on me after a period of streaming.
NOTE 2: In Streamlabs, I had to install the Discord Streamkit Overlay to show Discord Server Avrae bot.
Like I said, I'm new to Twitch so I'm not if you have to go through all of the above but that's what I did and it worked for me.
After using this for the first time, it looked really nice on the stream. Setup was very easy. My only issue is you guys are claiming"Real-Time Changes" to HP etc but as my group used this it was taking 5 - 10 minutes before it reflected on the twitch extension. The update cycle is too long, at this time parties are on the next several round of turns so this information is not accurate to get the character information to claim "Real-Time Changes". Honestly with this taking so long I can make a custom overlay myself and update it faster than the extension will. A feature I would also like to see is Dice Rolls made from DnDBeyond shown on the extension also.
Real Time Changes
As players update their hit points, add conditions, and equip new items, viewers will see these changes on the stream in real-time. After initial setup, streamers can be hands-off as the extension does the work!

Yea, i wanted to try this feature, but i cannot configure it.
This is what I am seeing right now:
No D&D Beyond campaigns found.
To use the D&D Beyond Twitch Extension, sign in to D&D Beyond and either create or be added to a campaign.
EDIT.

Anyone know of a step by step guide for beginners to get this all setup?
Go to the first post in the thread, it includes a guide to getting started.

Curious question. The new dice roller does that show in the extension too?
