CONTAINERS. Being able to show what items are in a bag of holding or other type of container is INSANELY useful, instead of just writing in the notes of the bag of holding or a third part note taking app.

Inventory enhancements are not currently being worked on but are high on the priority list. Despite what some people might allude, DDB to not give ETAs.
Could the Game Log please log changes to the character sheet? Specifically mechanical changes initially, like if a spell is changed, a piece of equipment is added, a feat chosen, etc. This relieves more processing power for the players and DMs so that people can be safe in remembering what changes they've made when.
Also, probably requested before, but would it be possible to add a "Full Body Portrait" slot, hosting an image that is at most 600x800px? This would let the players more easily get everything they want to communicate about their character in one place, and have a good snapshot of what their character looks like for the rest of the group to see.

except the trello is quite clear as to what time they can come out with things... the dev updates also showed us a few times that things like that are coming faster then they look. to a point where they said it was due to the first quarter of 2021. the first quarter is between the beginning of january and the end of april. the dice sharing was also due in that quarter and yet we just got it. i was expecting it to be coming later and yet we have it now. so yeah containers are hapenning in the next 3 months i say. that said a new book is already coming out and unearthed arcana already show us the next book by showing us gothic new races. so yeah there is a lot of work to be done still. but they are working right now on whats on the trello and its all coming this quarter. its a lot of new features, small ones like containers and all. but a lot of quality of life is incoming with it.
yes DDB do not give dates... but they do give quarters for whats coming this year. and up to this point they kept to that.

I may just be missing this somewhere, but is the sidekick creation mechanic actually catered for within D&D Beyond? I’m struggling to figure out how to do it.
Or is it just a case of homebrewing a ‘created’ monster based on an existing monster template and modifying that?
This may be asked already, but there are 70 pages of content.

Technically the first quarter is between the start of January and the end of March, not April. But y’know... details. ;)
You can easily do both. For items, under the equipment tab, click on the 'manage equipment' button. Scroll down and below the inventory there's an option for 'Custom Items.' Open this dropdown and at the bottom of it click '+Add Custom Item.' That'll create an Unidentified Item which you can click on, then edit to name, add weight, cost, notes and description. For skills, it gets a little muddier. Many skills can be used by multiple main stats. For example, you could be using medicine (WIS) to make a potion, or you could be using your knowledge of nature and healing plants (INT). So if you add your skill with a healer's kit, which one do you pick? That's why those stats aren't there already. But if you know 99 times out of 100 you'll use a specific stat (like how nearly everyone uses DEX for thieves' tools) you can, at the bottom of the skills column, click on 'Additonal Skills' or the gear next to the word 'Skills' and open up the Custom Skills section to '+Add Custom Skill' in a similar fashion to your custom item.
If DDB means D&D Beyond, then add Gnoll to the 'Unearthed Arcana' part of the Races section
Gnolls aren't UA. If you want them to add gnolls, than you clearly haven't looked at any of the threads explaining that D&D Beyond and WotC are seperate companies. They have no control over what is in D&D books.
Now that Tasha's Cauldron of Everything has introduced the concept of Optional and Variant Class/Sublcass options, I would think it would be cool if there would be a tool on D&D beyond to add homebrew optional features that can be used in our campaigns or saved by others (like for spells, subclasses, feats, races) to be used in their campaigns.
This could maybe be done right now by using the tools for homebrew feats, but I dont know if theres a way to set a particular class as the "prerequisite" or to allow a player to take it outside of ASI levels
Being able to delete homebrew would be great. I recognise that it previously “couldn’t be deleted” in case it’s being used by people, but having old homebrew that is unbalanced/not suitable for use/no longer being used clutters up the homebrew page. I’d rather get rid of a broken item my DM asked me to homebrew into Beyond... If you can delete old homebrew, I’d love a response to this!

Good to know! Yea my party just got a BoH and we realized how annoying it is to keep track, so we have a google doc with it all in there.

Good to know! Yea its kind of a pain ATM to manage these type of larger containers without like a Google Doc or something to sort it out
Is this where can I suggest a feature I am missing on Dnd beyond?
would it be possible I could enter a small box with a note or a comment in purchased books?
I would like to write a note when I run adventure so I can keep up with what’s happening, foreshadow or add more info. Or keep track of what players already know.
or in rules I could enter my home brew notes, that could be visible to everyone in my campaigns? has it already been suggested?

It'd be really helpful if mundane items and skills (especially for musical intruments or tools) could be homebrewed. #mybardwantsaharp

I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)
DDB does indeed mean D&D Beyond.
However, gnolls as a player character race are not part of any current unearthed arcana playtest and so cannot be added to the site as such.

Seriously, what does one have to do with the other? And what does the other have to do with anything?

Removing followers, too. I have no idea who follows me, so I can’t block them. Why is this not a feature?
