can we please have an easy way to do concentration checks on the character sheet somewhere, plug in the damage taken and click roll and get a pass or fail, and having a small tag next to it that we can toggle off and on for concentration for spells or any other effect
Literally just an empty scaffolding. I don't need you to let me make actual full classes, just give me something malleable. I can make a subclass that branches on it's own and punch in all of the mechanics as best as I can via Beyond.
I would pay $20 for literally nothing. Please let me.

There's no such thing as a "blank/empty class" though, you can't give scaffolding for a class because the class is the scaffolding

Then I don't think you're catching what I mean: I want a class that doesn't have any class features so I can customize it from top to bottom and call it a different class in play.

That's like saying "I want a pizza with no bread, tomato sauce, or cheese, so I can customize it from top to bottom". If you take away all the class features from a class, you end up with a blank sheet of paper....

Yes. That's like saying "Please give me the dough. I have my own ingredients."
I'm thinking about this from a Homebrewer's perspective. I don't want all of the proficiencies. I want to use an empty scaffolding to homebrew my own classfeatures.
You can Homebrew your own class. They have that option. Subclasses too.
That's a negative ghost rider. I totally get where Rabbit is going for. Give us a blank scaffold with OPTIONS for every existing class feature in the game AND a homebrew tool for class features similar to how we have a homebrew tool for Feats or Spells.

The class options would be cool and welcome, but I could make due with literally just an empty class.

This is getting taken too literally and missing the point. No one is asking for a rules-legal “empty class” or “just a blank piece of paper.” It’s clear, especially from their follow-ups, that they’re asking for a class template/chassis to build a homebrew class from within D&D Beyond.
This is just another request for proper homebrew class support to add to the already sizable pile of requests that already exist for it.

Except this one doesn't require rewriting the entire back-end, and it still provides a useful tool for Homebrewing on Beyond.

Given what they've said about how the character builder works, it absolutely would require overhauling the back end.

So what if it does? From a user perspective, this feels like a missing core tool, there should be a proper class template system for homebrew within D&D Beyond. Whether that’s an extension of the existing builder or a rewrite behind the scenes is irrelevant to us, as users. We don’t need insight into implementation constraints, internal limitations, or commentary on the codebase or previous teams within D&D Beyond, unless the discussion is specifically about seeking community input on technical solutions or expertise.

We don't technically "need" DND Beyond, either.
However, knowing what devs are & aren't doing, & what lead to such, is a nice thing that'd be foolish to throw away.

The standard stat rolling method within DDB's character builder is 4d6d1 and I was curious if the devs could introduce other methods of stat rolling:
I'm a personal fan of 5d6d2, but reroll 1's before the lowest 2 is dropped.

I myself use 2d6+6. Gives consistently decent rolls with nothing lower than 8.
Give us a blank/empty Class.

It's relevant inasmuch as it helps us understand why it hasn't been done yet.
