I would like the ability to define a custom sense in homebrew species and monsters.
For example: If I wanted to homebrew that Elves that live on the surface have Low-Light vision that just lets them see in Dim Light rather than full blown Darkvision. I currently have no option to give them anything other than the 4 currently defined senses in the existing dropdown.
What I've been finding on my mind more frequently for a new feature, are two items below: The first, as many have mentioned already, a toggle to remove 2024 content from character creator, its far too easy to accidently select 2024 stuff without realizing. The second is to be able to HB optional class features, as there are admittedly a few balances from 2024 or own HB balances that would be nice to give players the option of using, without adopting a whole new version, or straight up not using dnd beyond; as you can only Hb subclasses and not classes.
I want to be able to buy subclasses and races without having to buy the whole damn book
Them taking away a la carte purchasing has drastically dropped how much money I actually spend on here. The 'sales' are pitiful, and new content is not so compelling. I bought the 5.5e rule books, but that's been it since then.
it is absolutely ridiculous that we have to go to a completely different website in order to do things like this. Is it really that difficult to put a true bugs location in D&D Beyond?
It's probably been suggested a long time ago, but making it so I can have a player with "light" undo fog but also create areas where there are "walls" so that the light just doesn't clear everything.
Maybe that's really hard to implement but I do use this VTT for all my games now. Seems like a pretty standard feature.
Right? The walls+light sources+fog of war that other VTTs have (like Foundry) are amazing. I can only assume that D&DB is going to implement them at some point.
Please please please bring inwalls+light sources+fog of war!
I'm sure these items have been previously requested, but I'm too impatient to peruse 175 pages of forum. Here's my wishlist.
Some DM focused tools would help:
1. Campaign Page that focuses PLAYER selections to specific sub-set of sources books players can draw player content from. Simiallerly, . as well more broadly and seperatly permits DM to identify sources for Random Treasure and Random Encounter tables (See 3. & 4. below);
2. Ability to 'remember' my preferance to search through Partnered Content or not. (defaults 'yes' for me);
3. Random Treasure tables, that are dynamic to include content from all identified DM Sourcebooks (i.e Eberron RftLW etc);
4. Random Encounter Tables, that are dynamic to include content from all identified DM Sourcebooks (i.e Eberron RftLW etc) ;
5. A DM focused Landing Page (Dungeon Master's Screen) that provides easy access to most commonly used DM tools (such as Random Loot Tables, and Random Encounter Tables). The DM Screen would include campaign info, such as a Dashboard of Players, incl HP, AC, and Passive scores. Ready access to Encounters as well;
* For Bonus marks, have the DM Screen able to take on a Motif based on the published worlds as well as some general use ones... (Eberron! :) )
If would be helpful in the encounter builder to be able to designate monsters as being allies. That way the encounter difficulty could be calculated based on player level and ally level.
Feature request: In the encounter builder, when you finish an encounter, there should be an option to start a new encounter directly from the encounter page, possible where the three vertical dots (options) are located, or a "CREATE ANOTHER ENCOUNTER" button of some kind. Right now, you have to go back to the Encounter Builder page (that lists all your encounter), choose again your campaign, the create a new encounter. This is annoying.
Given the sheer amount of low post count(~10), single issue posters with similar & consistent behavior patterns in Feedback, Bugs & Support, & other areas that are designed for quality, not quantity, feedback, I think that those areas should be gated behind a minimum post count to sluice out this worrying trend.

Always study & sharpen philosophical razors. They save a lot of trouble.
Could be an excellent idea! Personally I would like to add to that by saying that when posting a new comment (not reply) there should be a littlw bubble that says "Make sure you post in the right forum!" You shouldn't have to click out of it though. That would be too annoying. I really think that it would cut down on a lot of unnecessary new posts in threads. Ex. the 'Dungeon Master's Only' thread.

You would not believe how much ADHD helps with creating campaigns!
A dynamic lighting tool for 2D maps that integrates PC senses (darkvision, truesight, etc.).
A polygon tool for fog of war instead of having to brush-stroke the screen to hide/reveal areas.

Why? Why do the fools fly? Better to burn sooner than late, for burn we must. Go back to your bonfire! And I? I will go now to my pyre. To my pyre! No tomb for Denethor and Faramir. No tomb! No long slow sleep of death embalmed. We will burn like heathen kings before ever a ship sailed hither from the West. The West has failed. Go back and burn!
A fix to the number of hit dice recovered when taking a long rest for 2024 characters. It is currently using the 2014 rules and not recovering all hit dice.

A mechanism that allows the DM to work on one map while keeping players on a different map.
Similarly, the ability to move individual players to different maps.

The ability to filter out (Deselect) the 2024 material. If we have built or would prefer to play in the old rules, it still puts the 2024 in there by default.

Forgive me if I have it wrong - but doesn't the Maps tool allow you to do this? Or do you mean the seperate encounter builder?
