Is it possible to enable searching for UK English terms? Ie I could search for armour and have anything classified as armor turn up in the items (and spells etc) listings? Most of the time I would catch myself and use US English after a thought, but it would make the site a touch easier to use, especially for more obscure words if they start coming up.
An interesting point, but might not be something that gets worked on immediately and considering all the publications are in US English who knows. But it's something to think on though it would be some work to figure out all the UK vs US differences - the ou's instead of o's, s's instead of z's, etc.

You Brits/Aussies and your Queen's English..... :D
I'll look at the documentation tonight on the Suggesters and Filters in ElasticSearch and see what's possible. I'm currently working on the search system right now, so it was a good time to ask!
As an FYI, this enhancement would first be available in the global search. It may be a while before it would be available in like the name search box on items, spells, etc., as we'll be working on pushing ElasticSearch down to those controls.
It could also be a way of catching any common typos, in the way that google does.
Things like people searching for mithrill, gaurd, or rouge.
Actually, as rouge is a proper word that people may want to search for if there's stuff for jewellers in the future.... that one isn't a great example, but you get what I mean!
Oh, let me start working on the Aussie translation for you to build in Hartless. Because it is anything but the Queen's English.
Having language settings in our account page would perhaps help with this - so if we set it to English(UK), then it would auto update a lot of the rules listings to UK.
Hahah yeah I thought I'd not go for an Aussie translation because it can be chocka full of dodgy words, but if we could choose the Queen's English via account pages I would be stoked.

It's something that I feel fairly passionately about myself and is a very good point. :)
I think that we're all used to American English RPG books by now, but it doesn't mean that DDB can't help.
I'm thinking that the omni-search tool would be a great place to be able to implement search substitutions.
E.G. If the user searches for armour, then the database knows to substitute that word with armor and then perform the search.
