I would also absolutely love this feature! I have been trying to find simple ways of sorting my characters from npc's and backups. Sorting all the characters in folders feels like its pretty important once you have "Unlimited" Characters. Especially when you don't remember who is a npc and who's a player character.
I hope this will eventually become a thing we all can celebrate! I'm hoping for that day to come soon.
Yeah, currently I'm using Mega.nz to house players, NPC character sheets, because of file management system that's available. I recommend DnDBeyond consider any time of file management system - it's necessary. Kick subscription up $2 for that option, that's fine with me, 100% okay, as long as the option is available (and functions) - call it another Tier, I don't mind, but just do it...now.
Please implement this. Previously I had a browser addon for this functionality but it was discontinued. It was really nice to have. If a browser addon can do this how hard can it be?
bump, also want. I'm getting too many characters, often the same character at different levels, or even built for different purposes such as home play versus adventurer's league. Just a plain grouping/folder option would be immensely useful.
Nah... I've been following this thread for almost 2 years. In all that time, they've still not decided to give a dev a week to implement a stupid simple MVP. Maybe one day?
Still nothing on this front eh? Disappointing. This would be awesome for keeping things organized and not having to scroll through a whole campaign list of dozens or potentially hundreds of NPCs to find one.
I don't understand why this hasn't happened. Shouldn't it be a very simple thing to implement? I mean folders are like the basic building block of all user interfaces since the beginning of user interfaces. This should have been step one. Not only has this not been done, but this thread has never seen anyone official even comment one way or the other.
Please someone, anyone with DnDBeyond, respond and let us know if this will ever happen or if we are just wasting our time.
How is this a topic from like 3 years ago that is STILL not sorted? It's simple request and adds such a lot of user benefit. They even joke in their adverts that people sit and make hundreds of characters they're never going to play. So they know it's a problem. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
A glimmer of hope: on yesterday’s Dev Update (Jan 27), Joe said updates to the My Characters page are coming. He didn’t say anything about folders, or what that will mean specifically, but apparently something is in the works that might provide something akin to what folks in this thread are asking for.
Do you have a link to that? I'm only just diving into these forums, not having the best time finding the updates.
In the menu at top (Collections, Game Rules, Sources, etc) hover over Media and click "Dev Updates".

Bumping this thread, because I'd like to have this feature as well.
RothStrongtower - we stand together. I will bump too!

Time to Juice!
Bump again. Is there any response to this question?

Thanks
Yep, I would love this feature. Right now I create a bunch of campaigns and just add them to those, but this would be SO much better.
I really want this feature too. It would make my life so much easier as a DM and player to separate out my PCs and NPCs.
I would love this feature too :)

Can we PLEASE get a folder system, or at very least an archive to retire old characters on DDB???
