I was wondering if the intent was to include errata in the digital versions of the books you buy here. I just bought PotA, and I can already see that the errata that has been released has not been integrated. I think one of the best selling points of your product could be the inclusion of errata, as that is very difficult to deal with when you are working with physical books.
Are you able to point out the specific places where you have noticed this issue because as badeye has said in the Quote below that they plan to stay fully up to date with all errata, so this could be an oversight.
The more I think about this model, the more I like it. I'll never stop buying the books, but this format is so handy when running games, even just book marking creatures when running encounters is a huge time saver. So two questions regarding the content.
1. How are you handling errata? Are you incorporating the latest updates on an ongoing basis, or is it a snapshot in time?
2. Since you are not owned by WotC, what about Tome of Beasts and other content from Kobold Press? Many of us mix and match monsters here, and at some point, having a single place to setup content would be great. What are your plans (@BadEye) around high-profile 3rd-party content? I've seen this topic raised a bit in the forums, but I've yet to see any response.
1. Errata will be incorporated as it comes in. As an official source, it's important that we always stay current.
2. No new details on this yet, but I can assure you the demand for this type of content has been heard. We're working on how to make it happen.
Okay. I haven't had time to go through a lot, but the first thing I noticed was in Tomb of the Moving Stones. The north passageway in T1 originally said it lead to Waelvur’s Wagonworks, which didn't make sense. The errata changed that to one of the quarries which lines up with the map of Red Larch.
With the new update to the various errata and Sage Advice Compendium, how long before changes might be implemented?
(Grain of salt with this question. I understand that you're still getting this thing fully up in the air and bolting on more core features and functionality. This is just the first time there's been opportunity to do this kind of business-as-usual mainenance.)
A quick update for you all - we're reviewing the updated errata documents from WotC with staff, to identify what changes need to be made.
Hopefully we can get updates in pretty quickly - we'll let you know when we have a date.
Much appreciated. Another suggestion/request is if you can post the errata date somewhere that would be great. Just so we know how up to date the docs are supposed to be without having to ask.
Still seeing these issues with the Dessarin Valley map, the locations of Sacred Stone Order Monestary and the Rivergard Keep have not been changed, and the legend incorrectly states the distance of a hex as 10 miles.
Is the map you're referring to the one from mikeschley.com ? I believe he's produced several maps that resolve issues with the printed versions, but they've never been officially released by WotC as errata.
The one in my physical copy is the one that has the corrections described in the Princes of the Apocalypse errata, as my printing of the book post-dates the errata.
As you can see, they fixed some locations on the map and corrected the scale to 4 miles per hex. This went out in the errata and then in later printings of the book too.
From what I can see even the PHB hadn't got the errata treatment Well, I haven't looked properly but the Sentinel feat isn't up to date at the very least

Another errata update not found. The map of the Dessarin Valley in Chapter 2 hasn't been updated either.
I just came to say that it's terrific that the errata is being applied to the online material.
As there was an update just announced by JC, is there a set schedule that we expect those changes to appear?
Also wondering this.

To me, it seems like none of the errata for PotA has been entered. Maybe they just haven't gotten around to adding it in for the Adventures?

The Dessarin Valley DM’s map in Princes of the Apocalypse is still the wrong one, with incorrect scale and multiple markers in the wrong place.
Still seeing these issues with the Dessarin Valley map, the locations of Sacred Stone Order Monestary and the Rivergard Keep have not been changed, and the legend incorrectly states the distance of a hex as 10 miles.
The map is the one that was provided by Wizards of the Coast.
The officially published errata for PotA has already been integrated.

The map doesn’t match the one in my physical copy of the book, so...
Then that sounds like there is an issue with either the digital version or your physical copy.
The matter has already been queried with staff, who need to talk to WotC about this.

Cool, hopefully WotC will be able to send over the images soon!

Notably the Player edition of the map is correct, which means the eratta'd maps were partially received / processed.
Please do contact Wizards! :)
