I'm wanting to add the new UA feat Eldritch Adept:
"Studying occult lore, you have unlocked eldritch power within yourself: you learn one Eldritch Invocation option of your choice from the warlock class. If the invocation has a prerequisite, you can choose that invocation only if you’re a warlock and only if you meet the prerequisite."
It's ridiculously OP and I love it and want it, but how would one add a feat that gives an Eldritch Invocation and validates pre-reqs? I don't even see a good example for it.

Ancient GM, started in '76, have played almost everything at some point or another.
I run/play Mercer-style games, heavy on the RP and interaction, light on the combat-monster and rule-lawyering. The goal is to tell an epic story with the players and the players are as involved in the world building as the GM is. I run and play a very Brechtian style, am huge into RP theory and love discussing improv and offers.
This is going to be like the Class Feature Variants UA -- not fully executable in DDB for a while. If you were homebrewing it, you'd have to homebrew the individual invocations you wanted to adapt.
Somewhat. If you make a feat using the Eldritch Adept feat as a template you can make it, but then you don’t really have to. If all you want is the feat you can purchase it from Tasha’s Cauldron for $2.
PS- 2018 was their “join date,” this thread was only created in July 2020.
Any update on this? lol. With the feat not being able to be bought separately I don't have the template. I'm trying to add it from my physical copy of Tasha's for my online players so it's all counted as homebrew, but can't figure out any way to add a 'Choose eldritch invocation' option and when you add custom options you aren't able to add spells, modifiers, etc. It's essentially just via text, unless I'm mistaken?

Has this changed since 2018?
