If WotC were to announce 6th edition, what would happen to this site? Would it remain the home for 5th edition,or would 6th take over? Would a new site be made for 6th edition? Would 6th edition stuff just get added, with content edition being marked,or would 5th edition stuff be removed/replaced?
I know it's unlikely this would happen any time soon, but the thought came to me and l had to ask.
I don't think anybody knows; probably not even the DDB staff. A few years ago, Mike Mearls of WOTC said when/if 6e came out it would be backwards compatible with 5e. If it actually happens that way, I would imagine DDB would continue to support 5e and add 6e to the mix. But it's all speculation and 6e doesn't seem to be anywhere close to happening.
(sorry if this is in the wrong thread)
