I'm trying to create a necromancer character using the warlock class. However, when I'm creating the character here on this site, I don't see any spells that actually raise the dead. the closest I see is one that allows the caster to speak to the dead, but that's not what I'm looking for. I want to be able to control the dead.
Animate Dead isn't a warlock spell. You can get it as an Eldritch Invocation at level 5, and cast it once per long rest without using a spell slot.
Create Undead is a 6th level spell, so warlocks can grab it as their level 11 Mystic Arcanum, and cast it once per long rest without using a spell slot.
Summon Undead is a warlock spell which just came out in Tasha's, so you could purchase that from the book if you don't need anything else from Tasha's for $2.
What is the difference between teh spell. I want to multiclass as a rogue with a history as a soldier, so he acts to revive both allies but also enemies to fight but also get information when they won't say anything while alive. Speak to undead is not as good, from my limited understanding, casue there's still a chance of the dead soul lying.
Well, unfortunately skeletons and zombies can't speak, per their statblocks. That's what you get from Animate Dead.. Summon Undead and Create Undead both draw forth types of undead that can speak, but Summon Undead is unspecific as to the source of the undead, so your DM might say that they're random undead souls from somewhere else, with no useful information for you. Animate Dead and Create Undead both specify that they're using nearby corpses, so Create Undead would allow you to speak with them as well as control their actions.
As a 6th level spell, you'd only ever get one shot to use Create Undead per day, and it specifies also that it must be cast at night (and it also has a material component with a gold cost, meaning you have to have it, you can't ignore it). Speak With Dead can be cast with a pact magic spell slot, or unlimited times if you take the Whispers of the Grave invocation (remember that just because a spell is on your warlock subclass expanded spell list doesn't mean you automatically have that spell, so you can still choose the invocation if you think you're going to use the spell a lot). Yes, there's a chance that the soul might lie, but there are plenty of creative ways around that -- if you have someone with the zone of truth spell, or a disguise spell or kit, for example.
So at level 5 you get 3rd level spells, and you can learn Speak with Dead (if available to your subclass) and Summon Undead (which you'd have to buy or have shared with you if that's an option in your campaign) and take the Undying Servitude Invocation to get Animate Dead. When you get to level 9, you can unlearn Speak with Dead if you're still using it and pick it up as an Invocation instead. Level 11 is the earliest you can pick up Create Undead.

i don't see Animate dead in the phb under Eldritch Invocations. Is it someplace else?
That's because it's a spell, not an invocation, and it's not on the warlock spell list.
