Can we get folders or some other grouping mechanism for our content pages, like our list of characters? Once you get a decent number of things it becomes painful to quickly find what you are looking for.
Yes please! I like to create characters, sometimes just for fun. That's a huge part of the value of a tool like this for me. I'd love to be able to separate out "This Campaign" / "That Campaign" / "Adventurer's League Characters" / "Just Ideas" / "Retired Characters", etc.
Being able to sort our character page would be nice. I'd like to have a few folders for NPCs, characters in various games, etc. Just a little more organisation than one big list.
people have asked for a better way of organising multiple characters and the good news is that Badeye confirmed that they've heard the request and something is planned.
I get the feeling it will be like folders, but better, but for now we need to wait and see!
Also, I just merged two threads that were both discussing this.
If You use chrome there is the Beyond Help Extension. The new version v0.5.0 sorts the characters by name, also enables the creation of collapsible folders that You can add your characters.
It would be massively helpful if I could sort my characters, possibly archive or store some of them out of the main page, which tends to get a bit cluttered.
I think I remember BadEye mentioning that this is coming at some point in the future, but in the meantime, if you use Chrome, you can check out this Chrome extension. It allows for you to be able to folder and sort characters!
Any word on when this might happen? As a DM, the option to organize the characters in ANY way would be a feature that would be greatly appreciated. Even alphabetical would be an improvement.
I came here, primarily, to throw my support behind character folders. (I have 97 characters rolled up, and I have to attempt to remember in what order I created them to more quickly find the one for which I'm looking. Needless to say, that doesn't often work.). But, I also would quite enjoy the other two options, too.
Hi, fine people of D&D Beyond! I love your site, and use it frequently. However, I was wondering if it might be a cool addition to the site if you could organize characters on the "My Characters" section into specific folders, such as separating them into different campaigns or set aside a section for DM usage, to keep non-player-character stats a secret.
I would really like some kind of way to organize created characters, not only for different campaigns but for different encounters and cities as well. Right now, just a basic folder system would be really helpful. I'm not sure if this is already here and I'm just missing something, if so, someone please let me know.
Thanks

Is there any chance we will see some organisational help? I have a number of characters and NPCs which managing is a bit tough. Any help with organising those in some shape or form would be greatly appriciated.
I would like to see the ability to organize lots of things but I second character folders as a step though extend that to how to control how we see information. I would like to be able to organize information I've added to my information. Things I've created. Monsters I plan to use.

Seconded. My subscription would be a lot more valuable if I could organize all my content.

I'd also like to sort within each folder.
The staff team have confirmed that they plan to implement something to help organise all of your characters! :)

Some screenshots:
creating a folder

And I cast Heroism on the community.
It doesn't have to be folders
I'd like to see the ability to add custom tags to a character (like #npc #campaginimrunning #city #organisation), with the ability to filter by tag.
I know it would help me, I'm already over 50 characters and it looks like I'm going to be making around a dozen more within the week.

I'll keep it short.
Please consider adding these features whenever.
What do you think?
That is all, have a nice day.

I like the ideas of being able to sort by name, class, race, or level and also filtering by custom tags.
